My Origin id is bankaimaster13. I was watching Bleach at the time of its creation and decided to make a reference in the honor of the 13 Divisions.
I consider myself a decent player. Don't flame me for liking animes, okay?

This made my day.
I'm running a "FTW" in my name, simply because I don't like numbers and the original version of my name is usually taken for some weird reason. I can see where the OP is coming from though, and I've had similar experiences in all kinds of games.

In Resident Evil 5, I encountered a Mercenaries player named "mariosonic12". Being that I don't kick people when I haven't even played with them yet, I figured, what the hell, let's go for it.
Then, when we start, he starts talking in his mic-- he's, like, 12. And he asks how to reload. And he goes into dying status within a minute of us starting, which I didn't even know was possible.
I quit.

BUT, I do have a friend who's name includes SharpShooter, and he's actually turning out to be really good at Halo and Mass Effect.

Not made not to play.
With you, that is.
What a pathetic, petty reason to not want to revive someone. And I swear, I am so sick of you little twits jumping at the chance to be offended. At freakin' any and everything.
Not sterotyping, but back in Russia if anyone gets offended they just tend to look at them funny for about 7 seconds and proceed to watch them back out in horror.

Pot references in XBox tags are a red flag for me, because they usually indicate the player is a teenager with too much time on his hands [EDIT: also, advertising drug use that's still illegal in most jurisdictions is a sign of poor risk awarenes]. I also watch out for people with a lot of case changes, numbers, and punctuation in their tag (e.g., xx!WaK3nB@Ke!xx is right out).
Also ditto the note about people that include "sniper" (or "snipa", or "snipes", or particularly the dreaded "ssnippezz").
This ---^^^---this is exactly what I try to avoid - and anything with like ................... xxxSNIPAxxx....i know they are teens who will most likely annoy me.

I only started this thread as I was just in a game with a player that had a really offensive name (to me anyway). He played fine but I was fighting the impulse not to revive him every wave!
About a week after the game came out I had someone join a game mid-match whose name was "jewkiller" and then some numbers, was it that offensive? I quit the match immediately. Not sure how Playstation would even let someone create a name like that.

It's a two-fer, actually. The poem has been a favorite since grade school, and there's a high-level magic item in D&D called a vorpal sword. When it came time to generate a gamer tag, my Dungeon Master's Guide happened to be nearby, and it seemed apropos.Liber320 wrote...
I haven't heard it since high-school, but as soon as I read "Vorpal Sword" it just popped back into my head for some reason. I always seem to retain the most random and least useful things I learn in school
I think I remembered it mainly because my cousins used the Jabberwocky to scare the **** out of me when I was a kid, then years later I find out there's a poem about the damn thing.
Ah, family memories...
