Hey, folks, this is a reminder that we can disagree with each other without resorting to insults and name-calling. Also, please remember that not everyone is as awesome as you are in multiplayer. Some people may be better, some may be worse, and not everyone plays every character the same way. Not everyone makes an ideal build or knows every last "winning" tactic in every area, or against every opponent.
So let's please remember that there are thousands of players in these forums, and BioWare wants to try and keep the game fun for as many of them as possible. Be excellent to each other.
If not everyone is good at the game then wont buffing Cerberus make the game even more frustrating for those people?

Buffing the enemies again... I'm starting to suspect the balance changes are not to balance the game but to force average players to spend money on packs. This game is getting less and less fun in my book. Hard is not equal to fun to me. Fun is having a challenge that can be won without dumb luck or spending hours perfecting a game that you've already known how to play for weeks. Just my opinion on the subject.
If hard isn't fun then you shouldn't be playing gold.
Some people do find hard to be fun, and some people don't. Neither of them are invalid opinions, and the reason we have difficulty levels is to accomodate different opinons on how hard the game should be.
But the game also has a credit system that forces you to play gold if you actually want to unlock things at a decent rate. Thus forcing people who would normally be fine with playing on silver to play gold. So you have to change the system or allow the game to be playable on gold by average players.
While it's true the store system encourages players to make credits as fast as possible (which makes Gold more appealng), it's not like you earn credits at a glacial speed by playing Silver.
Also, people who find Gold too hard and play it just to "get credits faster', probably aren't earning credits any faster because odds are they also have to deal with more wipes and missions failed than usual. Given that an average gold game already takes longer than a silver game, when you add in a higher chance of failure, the credits don't really flow in as fast as they may think they do.
So I don't really think the way the system works in terms of difficulty/rewards is that flawed (the randomness of the store is a different issue).

By tactical, I mean they move more in cover just like the nemesis. Instead of walking in the middle hydra to be picked off. They should use cover mechanics to attack you.
Also ever notice how the phantoms seem to work to flank you while you try to work on the atlas. The smaller troops should try to do the same thing instead of hanging around the atlas to die. Maybe they could even camp in area instead of rushing the players. Engineer setups a turrent, troops take cover. Only way for the players to kill them is to attack.
Of course this requires better AI, instead of changing some number some place. So it probably won't happen.

How about toning down the Phantom's ranged attack? Just a little? And maybe give them slightly more barrier and/or health strength to offset less offensive capability?Eric Fagnan wrote...
We feel that Phantoms are in a good spot right now so we won't be changing them.

Edit: Nevermind. I see that Eric already said no changes to phantoms.

And also, Geth and Reapers are NOT neck and neck as far as difficulty. Your data is flawed from FBWGG spam, Geth are by far the most difficult.
I think that the reapers are by far the most difficult.
Geth are so slow and easy, just matching up to you.
Doesnt matter what map, just find a good camping spot and wait for them to close in on you.
Hunters is the only real problem imo. (Unless you are playing as a character that is very effected by stunlocks, but even then they are easier than reapers imo)
Reapers are really hard, Brutes and Banshees making it impossible for you to hold a defensive position well and Maraduers and Ravagers punishing you as soon as you leave the place.

I'm not sure if you play on gold or not, but when I play gold, I would much rather go up against reapers than the post-buff geth (ignoring FBWGG, of course).

I can't really understand why ALL changes always induce a massive cry-fest. They have usually been pretty reasonable so no need to exaggerate. Deal with it.

Yes, I play almost only gold.
Lolling around on silver on occasion, but almost only gold.
And I MUCH rather prefer Geth over Reapers.
Especially since the damn biotic shield is fixed on Banshees, cant even get biotic explosions of consistently on them!

Cerberus is easiest, Geth is in the middle, and Reapers are hardest.
If you were actually seeking balance you would decrease the chance of banshee grabs along with the cerberus buff.
Enough with the fixing of things that aren't broke.
You're only digging into your own profits by driving players away.

This week's balance changes will be delayed. We're working to get them out as soon as possible but they won't be showing up today.
Among other things, this week we're looking at bumping up the difficulty of Cerberus a little since our data shows that they are by far the easiest faction on all difficulty levels and have been for quite some time. The Geth and Reapers, on the other hand, are neck and neck for difficulty.
I agree, at one point the Geth were certainly easier than Reapers. Now it seems they both give me hell, however, reapers are still tougher and the most fun to play.

If Gold is too hard for you when it's balanced as Bioware defines it, then you should be playing on a lower difficulty.

Well, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. I just find geth to be far more frustrating than the reapers. With the reapers, the only really frustrating thing IMO is getting insta-killed by a Banshee immediately after being revived or using a medigel.
With the geth, you've got the constant stun-locking, flamethrowers with ridiculously long reach, the crazy prime turrets and those goddamn hunters.
Maybe the reapers are not actually easier - they just ****** me off a lot less.

100% subjective.
I'd find it hard to believe if you played a KVG that you'd be saying geth are harder than cerebrus, or if you played a Krogan soldier with inferno grenades that reapers are the hardest.
Based on Biowares data most people find cerebrus the easiest on gold. If gold gets too tough for you then go play silver. If your going to quit over a liley tiny balance change you probaly weren't going to stay long anyways.

Does he ever make any other kind?
Yea I defintely wasn't going to stay long enough to max out ultra rares or nothing like that.
