This.

I haven't played much since the Infi nerf.  It just isn't fun for me anymore.  This Cerberus buff will have the same effect as that nerf, except with every character I take.

I'm sad.  My game is broken.  They want to break it even more.

This. I'm starting to lose faith in their game balance now too. Super nerf Infiltrators and buff the enemies until the game is unplayable? Yeah, I think I'll just move on now...

Was FUN while it lasted but I am starting to see a pattern here, and the fun is fading fast and is being replaced by frustration (Geth, Banshee INSTA-grab from biotic dash, Banshee dash through walls to magnant grab someone from across the room etc).

Yeah you must be trolling, your telling me insta kill moves when being revived isn't OP? Or a pistol that drops shields in 3 shots after you empty a clip of a harrier into them with AR is fair? Please if we MUST nerf anything in the game let it be them.

Ugh, tougher challenge good for regular gold players, not so good for silver or some bronze. We'll live with it though.

I stil find the Nemeis a pain at times.  Once you get close it is all over but they still hurt me from a distance on open maps while I'm engaged elsewhere.

Nemesis: gun replaced by Krysae
Atlas: rocket replaced by Cobra missile (damage and AoE)
Engineers can drop their turret behind players like a grenade throw (like GE / QE turrets)
Guardian moves with the speed of husks
All of them receive +50% health + shield/barrier and damage buffs

I think this would do it...

People say so much about difficulty, when all most are willing to play is the highest difficulty....

You can turn it down if you don't want a challenge anymore, you know this, right guys?

You guys do... you do play the game, right? On Gold?

They would probably be in a good spot if you didn't have to fight four of them at once. I mean, I'm glad they're not getting buffed, but in the same way I'm glad that the Banshee isn't getting a sync-kill range of 20m. 

It'd be nice to see the changes not include cheating. They should play by the rules. Not be immune to stagger, not be able to fire 2-3 times as fast occasionally, not shoot through walls, etc.

I'm okay with difficult. I just don't like it when the game cheats to be hard.

Buff nemesis to shoot 3 times rapidly like a ravager or prime. Make atlas walk a bit faster. Fixed.

they just buffed cents and atlases, so i guess engineers and nemesis would get this buff

The point is understood.  While the magic of Phantoms will not change, it will still be more difficult to kill the little B**** because she is going to have better support.  It is already a pain to kill them with anything other than a Krysae, or Stasis.

Now, you are going to have to shoot them while over powered Centurions and Guardians maul you.  Yup, yet another thing that will break the game.

Did you realize that you get less credits for completing a silver match than a gold match?

All Cerberus units will now be armored, rendering stasis & lash obsolete. The engineer and his turret will have the pre-nerf TC, he will be able to repair it from behind cover, and he will deploy them near ammo crates by throwing them, like the QFE's turret. Nemeses shots will now bypass shieldgate and will be 3 burst fire. The assault troopers will perform synchronized, precision grenade spam to cover a 10m radius, and the Centurion's smoke nade does DOT damage while you're in the smoke. Gaurdians will now carry claymores, walk as fast as Nemeses, and their shield will have the effect of Blade Armor, which they can throw like Captain America (it will always return to them unless you heavy melee it at the right moment.  However, this will return 150% of the damage dealt). There will be 5 Atlases active for each round after 6, and if they happen to meet together, they will join together like Voltron to make a super mega happy fun time destroyer mech, as the Japanese might say.

But it's okay because the Phantoms will remain the same.

Welcome to Platinum mode.

-Shield is now reflective so that it returns all fire that is not aimed perfectly through "mail slot"

Among other things, this week we're looking at bumping up the difficulty of Cerberus a little since our data shows that they are by far the easiest faction on all difficulty levels and have been for quite some time. The Geth and Reapers, on the other hand, are neck and neck for difficulty.


The Reapers are good, no huge complaints there beyond the ever present Banshee tractor beam issue.

However, the Geth are a different story. The geth are difficult for all the wrong reasons. They're difficult because they're basically made of cheap behavior that the player really can't counter. Rocket troopers that shoot 2 rockets instantly, Hunters + Primes that the player is basically doomed by if they get a single shot on you, because of stun-lock, Pyros who can kill you with their fire attack from much further than the actual animation reaches, etc. Fix the problems, and then rebalance their health/damage to make them a difficult, but fair enemy.

Whats is that data exactly? full extractions ? times players got downed? average times ? missiles fired per round? Enlight us a bit please


We have many data sources including waves completed, extractions, player faction choice, time completed, etc. and everything per map. On top of that we have internal playtests and gather feedback from the community through these forums.

tbh the phantoms are a bit rediculous if your not one of a few exclusive classes, or using one of a few weapons that actually help in defeating them

Phantoms already feel cheap.  I understand they aren't getting a buff, but all of their support is getting a buff.  I haven't seen a Phantom that cheated, but I have said, "BS!!!" almost every time I've been killed by one.

Cerberus is hard enough, except that the Phantoms need a dramatic nerf.  I don't need their buddies to make it impossible to kill them.
