Multiplayer Balance Changes Delayed

I guess I should have expected this considering the countless and credible Geth complaints that have fallen on deaf ears. There's no possible way this could backfire at all in the near future. None.
Between this and the source of inspiration behind a large majority of balance changes it will be a miracle if I stick with this game for another month. I think once I get my Harrier a long vacation is in order.

One of these days, I wonder if we'll ever get a breakdown on what enemies are the most successful killers in each group.
Geth - Pyros and Hunters. (Possibly Rocket Troopers in place of Pyros, but just speaking from personal experience, I've never been downed by a Rocket Trooper. The Rocket Troopers have killed my shields while something ELSE scores the killing blow.)
Two words: Geth Turrets

I've been magnetic grabbed -once- in all my time playing, stay away from the banshee and you won't get grabbed
husks attaching to you is the only dangerous thing they have, why'd you let them get close to you to begin with
engineers could grant a buff to Atlas, now that would be interesting, and something besides herp derp repair atlas while I get shot

Same issue as with Rocket Troopers, in my opinion. I've had my shields dropped countless times by Geth Turrets, but I can't recall the last time a Geth Turret scored the killing blow on me, even on Gold.
Of course, once again, that's personal experience. I can certainly believe that other people have different luck than I.

Have you ever had a wave 10 hack against Reapers? If you don't missile the Bashees right away - someone is going to get grabbed and sync-killed.

Thats definitely me. Geth Turrets probably take about 50% of my deaths on Geth Gold. Usually, they stealth kill me, because they don't make much noise while firing, and Primes have this tendency to launch them behind you now, especially through walls. Normally at least once or twice a match, I run to escape a Prime and turn the corner, and its thrown a turret THROUGH THE WALL ahead of me, waiting for me, which deals the killing blow.

Among other things, this week we're looking at bumping up the difficulty of Cerberus a little since our data shows that they are by far the easiest faction on all difficulty levels and have been for quite some time. The Geth and Reapers, on the other hand, are neck and neck for difficulty.
Lame.....They're hard enough on my opinion, plus they were already buffed and now you're buffing them again? WTF.

Cerberus was always easy. That's why I'd always pick them when doing solo matches. I did notice something harder about them when I was playing earlier today. Normally they run around like headless chickens, but now they guard objectives, are much more crazy with grenades, and just smarter.

Overreaction. None of the changes to enemies have actually made them worse (except Banshee Synch kills, but they had the magnet hands before that).Qeylis wrote...
The point is understood. While the magic of Phantoms will not change, it will still be more difficult to kill the little B**** because she is going to have better support. It is already a pain to kill them with anything other than a Krysae, or Stasis.
Now, you are going to have to shoot them while over powered Centurions and Guardians maul you. Yup, yet another thing that will break the game.
Also I've killed Phantoms with Batarian Soldiers, Human Engineers, Turian Soldiers and Sentinels consistently. A Scorpion or Falcon also works wonders.
The trick is to keep them dancing around while you whittle them down and shoot them when they have shields up or cloak hide.
And really they are the only thing you really have to worry about when facing Cerberus (that and running into surprise turrets).
Though I wouldn't mind them getting a bit of a nerf if the others get a good buff (not just a mere health buff).

Make a Platinum difficulty already, and stop buffing enemies.
Platinum difficulty:
Enemies are bigger bulletsponges, ARs become completely useless beyond this point. Only Infiltrators, Human Soldiers and Biotics allowed.
People are really mistaken if they think this mythical Platinum difficulty will be anything more than bumping enemies defenses and damage.

Geth Turrets can only appear at predetermined spots on each map. If a Prime is near such a spot, he will throw out his Turret there no matter how awkward it appears. If you get used to where they can appear, you can use it to your advantage (i.e. forcing the Prime in an area where his Turret can't reach you or forcing him near his Turret so your AoE attacks can destroy the Turret forcing him to waste time throwing another one.)

All the time, either kite the banshees, kill them normally, or rocket them
The ONLY map that is pretty ridiculous with a reaper hack is Goddess, and even then I like the challenge
Reapers are fine

Geth are the most predictable enemy, they have smallest diversity in units, but also probably have the least fair and bugged ones at the same time. I'm not sure if the intention of heavy stunlock is to go hand in hand with their relatively easy attack pattern, but Geth need to be looked at besides simple number changes.
I like Reapers, and I think most of the attention should be focused on Banshees. I don't think they should be harder to take down than a Brute except for if she's teleporting and no one can simply hit her. The synch kills from her are ridiculous and have randomly crippled good teams. Her warp can also phase through walls fairly often, and she often goes through walls too, and usually kills you right there.

Actually, from a business standpoint, it does make sense. When sales of the game start to fade, multiplayer servers simply become an unnecessary expense. You have to be subtle; drive them away with small, annoying changes that make small portions quit at a time. Though it depends on how much money the store is making them, since the DLC is free.Zjarcal wrote...

I'm beginning to think that all these "balance" changes are just a ploy to get rid of all of the players except for the very best gamers, and get rid of us riff-raff. If that is the point......... well.... it's starting to work with me. I want to keep loving this game, but, I am getting very close to losing interest completely.
Yes sliver, it's all a f****ng conspiracy ploy from BW because they hate you and everyone in these forums. Yes, indeed, they don't want people playing their game.

And a question: Do the buffs to Cerberus units mean less Phantoms? The main reason Cerberus isn't just a pushover is Phantoms, but if the rest gets buffed without reducing Phantom numbers or nerfing them (which you said you're not gonna do) they're gonna be overpowered.

Right - so the obvious choice as people unlock better weapons is to make everything harder? You unlock stuff to get better combat results. You don't continually buff enemies to counteract that. You make a harder difficulty so that the skilled players looking for insane challenges have some place to do it. You don't drive off everyone else.
I don't care if that's how they do a Platinum diffuclty. Go for it. Anything to allow the 1337 players their fun, without destroying others'.
