I found Reapers to consistently be a lot worse than Geth personally.

This.  Geth are still easy to me.  -shrug-

I would like to trade my rocket launcher for that ML-77 Geth Rocket Troopers have. Just sit in cover and spam it. SMG fire rate, 100% accuracy, no skill needed.

Tech classes kick Geth ass.
You can hack basically every enemy when you play against geth.
Energy drain works best when facing Geth.
No instakill/permadeaths when facing geth.
No grenades when facing geth.
Lack of grenades and instakillers make camping strategies against geth much more viable than vs cerberus or reapers.

Wut? The Geth don't have grenades to uproot camped players because they have fast moving Hunters, Prime Turrets that can be thrown around corners and Pyro Units who do not have to get especially close to burn you out of cover.

I don't think the geth are cheap at all. If banshees were replaced by primes, reapers would be easier. If phantoms were replaced by hunters, cerberus would be easier...

If banshees were replaced by Primes, you'd still have Ravagers accurately sniping you from across the map while Marauders with Turian Stability and Marksman outflank you.

If you replaced Phantoms with the Incredible Hulk, Cerberus would be easier, because the Phantom is easily as cheap as all the Geth. All the Hulk can do is smash puny humans, and hey, we got a character class that can already do that.

Geth, just like all the other enemies in MP are very predictable in their individual actions, so it's just a matter of player skill to see the hunters early enough, not let the pyros get too close, and don't stand so close to primes that they spawn turrets behind you (turrets all fall with a single tech power anyways, so if you keep them in front of you, you wipe them all out with chain overload and instead of attacking you, the prime is busy respawning them). Also, the rocket troopers tend to keep you honest and behind cover.

You don't need to stand close to a Prime because they will happily come towards you. And since they purposely throw their turrets either behind you or to the side to flank you, keeping these things ahead of you seems rather more than a notion.

Keeping Pyros from getting too close is well and good except when you have a hack objective and they spawn right next to you. Or when they start flaming you from beyond the edge of their flame animation.

Rocket troopers do not keep you honest, because there is not inherent dishonesty in advancing from cover to gain superior position on the enemy. There is, however, dishonesty inherent in a single rocket trooper firing two to three rockets at once or in rapid succession, while facing a completely different direction.

Whether these are glitches or lag errors or just built intentionally into the game is immaterial. Far too many players are experiencing these things to leave the issue unaddressed. But rather than address the issues, they gave the Geth a buff.

I admit those hunters firing off perfect shots while staggered is annoying, but my engineer with triple bouncing overload says "Hi".

Their accuracy is higher that 100% because they start tracking you before they can realistically see you. Of course, all enemies do that. Using Geth Hunter Mode on a GE, I once watched a Cannibal in the room below the team staring up and tracking our every movement with his hand-gun.  Even though the lore affords Cannibals no power to see through solid objects, he was still capable of following our movements with his weapon.

This is a function of the game AI, not just a function of Geth Rocket Troopers. But the fact they spam rockets into your face makes it worse.

Agreed.

Rockets that fly out of a rocket trooper's *** interfere with my immersion in the game.

Those rockets have magic too, it's the only thing that seems to bring my sound back if the game decides to glitch all the sound out.  Standing around waiting for a magic sound healing rocket is full of lol's

Anyone ever get the weird prime turret thing where you shoot it and blow it up, but then when you shoot at enemies behind the position the turret was in your shots get blocked by an invisible wall?

Grinds my gears.

Actually primes will instakill you, I dont understand why people believe otherwise.

Um, no stilly1, primes will NOT instakill you.

An instakill is when the attack A) will kill you 100% of the time regardless of your health/shields/barriers UNLESS your team manages to kill or stagger the enemy to interrupt the attack, and B) makes it impossible for you to revive with medigel or via a teammate for the rest of the wave.

Primes are certainly cheap, since their shots track and stagger, not to mention the turrets they spawn behind your sorry behind, but no, they do not break/tear out your spine like Atlases, Phantoms, Brutes, and Banshees can.

No disrespect to Mr Fagnan or any of his staff but to what he wrote on his thread.....

Cerberus is easiest across all difficulties?
You don't say. Could that be because they're not space monsters or the terminators?

Look upping difficulty is one thing but cheapening the bad guys is another. From past experience on this game, it would seem there's no difference between the two. If this truly goes through & cerberus becomes as cheap as the geth, its going to ****** alot of people off.

But whaaaaatever, your game, your thing, do as you will. No one's holding a gun to my head & all that.

Agreed, they're stupid cheap and not fun.

I personally think they need to be nerfed back to their original difficulty but have their wave budgets for regular troopers significantly increased. Get rid of the stupid staggering, get rid of the rocket spam, get rid of the excessive dodging. I want to fight a vast, merciless army of machines that slowly advances and applies constant pressure with no sense of self-preservation, weak individually but strong in number.

What I don't want is to play an entire match following the same pattern over and over with 0 problems whatsoever, then suddenly I get hit with a cheap double rocket and everything goes to hell because the geth are a bunch of stupid cheating babies. That's not fun, that's the computer going "HAHA, GOTCHA" and giving you a big middle finger.

Cerberus and reapers have their own problems for sure, but at least they have interesting ways of making you adapt your tactics. They certainly don't approach the level of cheapness associated with geth.

Edit: In case this wasn't clear, I'm saying that the geth buffs were a terrible decision and the last thing anyone wants is to see it happen to Cerberus. We want challenge and variety, not frustration.

Fortunately I like playing tech users more than Biotics so Geth are lulz

Me too. To biotics they may be a nightmare, but to techs they're actually the easiest   ^_^   Especially with a Male Quarian in the squad

You'd think that geth would be considered easy because of fbwgg. I find geth the easiest because of lack of synch kills and they don't throw nades

I like fighting Cerberus. People DO tend to lose about 80-100 points of IQ when a banshee is warping at them, it's true.

And I 100% agree with the OP. Geth are cheap, which means people will use tactics that are just as cheap to fight them.
To the UberDesk! It will protect us! /sigh

I do not like fighting Geth, on *any* difficulty. They just aren't *fun*.

Cerberus is more fun than Reapers. ( LASH ALL THE THINGS )

Yes, I really like this idea and it goes well with the lore. A merciless and slowly pressing army of machines with only one objetive: killing you!

Increasing their numbers (wave budget) BUT at the same time removing all the cheapness (unstaggerable hunters, 10000 Km range Pyros, perma-stunlock Primes, missile spam, etc) would balance it pretty well I think :wizard:

Giving Hunters mass stunlock was the worst idea ever. You can't:-

1) Reload
2) Fire your weapon
3) Fire a Power
4) Use Ops Survival Pack

That is game breaking i'm afraid. Geth are no fun now because once a Hunter or a Rocket Trooper or a Prime or a Pyro hits you, you can't fight back unless ur very lucky
