Giving Hunters mass stunlock was the worst idea ever. You can't:-

1) Reload
2) Fire your weapon
3) Fire a Power
4) Use Ops Survival Pack

That is game breaking i'm afraid. Geth are no fun now because once a Hunter or a Rocket Trooper or a Prime or a Pyro hits you, you can't fight back unless ur very lucky

don't forget:
5) can't take cover

This is ALL TRUE. To me Reapers are hard but are still fare. But Geth are now ****ing insane. Rockets, flame throwers, and hunters are all over the damn place and it's insane.

Cheap =/= Challenging

I play this game to relax and have fun.  Not to become even more frustrated and/or completely aggravated than I was before I started.

Yes please! The pyros range makes no sense, especially with how fast it'll drop you. It always ends poorly. My friend and i got dropped next to each other by 3 pyros who then stood there and waited for us to get up. I got up and revived him in time to be burnt back to the ground, then he revived me only to be dropped again, as well as me again shortly after. I then told him we needed to get up at the same time and run. So we both got up, made it a few steps, then both dropped, again. Mission failed, wave 7, gold, fb glacier. Totally cheap

Yeah, with geth you're pretty much either roflstomping them, or they're gleefully ignoring everything you do and stunlocking you to death. Not hard, but prone to sucking the fun out of a match.

Doesn't help that they tend to encourage players to stick to a handful of tactics. Their stagger happy ways alone keep heavy classes out of random/random

I don't think the geth are cheap at all. If banshees were replaced by primes, reapers would be easier. If phantoms were replaced by hunters, cerberus would be easier...

Geth, just like all the other enemies in MP are very predictable in their individual actions, so it's just a matter of player skill to see the hunters early enough, not let the pyros get too close, and don't stand so close to primes that they spawn turrets behind you (turrets all fall with a single tech power anyways, so if you keep them in front of you, you wipe them all out with chain overload and instead of attacking you, the prime is busy respawning them). Also, the rocket troopers tend to keep you honest and behind cover.

Um, no. You completely fail to address any of the points that have been made here.
Rocket trooper shooting two missiles WHILE KNOCKED BACK is cheap. Do they do that? Yes. Do you address it? No.
Hunters shooting WHILE FROZEN SOLID is cheap. Do they do that? Yes. Do you address it? No.
Rocket troopers shooting missiles out of their butts (only place it could be from since they are facing the wrong way) is cheap. Do they do that? Yes. Do you address it? No.

If you want to claim that Geth aren't cheap then address these issues. Don't pretend they don't exist.

I agree, Geth are cheap, not difficult. Reapers are harder, but aside from the rare 10m magnet-grab, they are legitimately harder.

I'd even be okay with the stun-lock IF the rate of fire on Primes and Hunters was toned down enough to allow you to try to dodge between shots. But that Pyro range buff was just a terrible idea.

While it's true a tech-heavy squad can wreck them, I play U/U/G and enjoy using all of the classes. I don't want to have to select my enemy each time just to ensure my squad is set up right and that we're having a good time. Squad set-up should be based on how well the powers complement each other, not on who the enemy is going to be.

If we wipe, I want it to be because the challenge was too difficult for the squad, not because cheapness renders our powers ineffective. And when we're winning, I want to finish the game with a smile on my face, not still be frustrated about how cheap the enemy we just beat was.

This thread is more or less a complete waste of time. BioWare has made it perfectly clear we all have no idea what the hell we're talking about. TEH MATHZ BE HATIN'.

Nothing but the truth.

Reapers can be difficult, but they are actually fun because it puts my skills to the test.

Geth are cheap, annoying, and they would be more fun if they'd just fix the problems. (ie. Hunters being able to shoot you at any time except when they're dead, double tap missles, ridiculous melee range, multiple turrets from multiple primes, pyro flames that reach 10 meters away when it should be something like 2-4)

I just talked to Eric Fagnan and here's what he said: "everyone was complaining about geth being easy so I decided to give them what they wanted. Now live with your decisions".
There you have it, ask and you shall receive. Great job breaking it community!

Cheapness= balance. I was being sarcastic BTW. I agree with OP, BW's treatment of this was completely wrong.

100% agreed. I groan every time I roll geth. Reapers, as you said, are fun to play. But geth.. They make me want to smash my Xbox sometimes.

I die to reapers just as much as I do to geth but when I die to reapers I have fun anyway. Geth just make me angry for all of the reasons stated by everyone else above.

I really doubt they are going to do anything to solve this, it seems cheapness is their only real option because it's absurd to think they are going to invest time and money making the Geth more challenging by improving the A.I script. (sorry for my english)

To surmise:

* Troopers with DPS higher than elite Infantry of Cerberus/Reapers, and a stun-inducing melee.
* Rocket troopers that fire backwards, over intervening terrain, and around obstacles. They also stagger you, both up close and far away.
* Hunters that fire whilst thrown, staggered, or in Stasis/Submission Net, cloak, and every single attack they have stagger.
* Primes that fire over hunters, through terrain, and stunlock players endlessly.
* Geth Turrets, which out-DPS Phantoms and can be deployed to areas the Geth Prime does not have line-of-sight to.
* Geth Pyros, with longer range than they appear and a weapon which often decides that the cover you're hiding behind doesn't actually count.

Geth are defeatable, yes, but they're about as fun as attempting to skydive into the Pit from Mortal Kombat.

While I don't know if you're serious or not, what you say seems to be true.

Who the hell are these people asking for geth to be harder? We have 3 pages filled so far about how people do not find the geth fun, but tedious, annoying & cheap.

I've seen threads just like this one posted a hundred times in this forum & while I do not have numbers or anything to back me up, I can say with confidence that geth are most people's most hated enemy.

That leads to ask, is this game being changed to suit the majority's demands or is it being changed to accommodate a small percentage claiming to represent the majority? If the latter is the case then I would say that I've seen monkey s**t fights at the zoo that made more sense than what's happening here.

Call me crazy but I think there's a big piece of the puzzle we're not being shown here.

I completely support the OPs argument. Anybody who enjoys playing geth at any difficulty is a masochist(one who enjoys inflicitng pain on them selves)
