Off topic: I leave the prime's turrets alone if they were thrown in a corner where they can't harm anyone, because destroying them will mean another turret thrown at a teammate's flank. This is probably obvious, but my hatred for turrets is such that I have to make a conscious effort to stop overloading the stupid things wherever I find them.

On topic: +1000000, nothing else to add, BioWare needs to listen to this. The reason why I've enjoyed MP the last few days is because I've stopped U/U/S and did alternating Cerberus/Reaper instead. Yes, even as a chain-overloading engineer. I probably had one Geth game in the last 48 hours. Happy days.

Geth is no problem for my kroguard. Cheap instakills can be.
But I do agree for other classes.

I wouldn't say cheap, I play a Drell adapt, a biotic. Against Reapers, I own, Cerberus, I pull my weight and some, but on Geth, I can only pull my weight, and at times it's hard. Why? Well because types match up differently with enemies. Having a class that has Chain Overload, Sabotage, Energy Drain, and basically any tech powers, your going to range from owning to doing well against them. It just depends on powers.

I have had situation where a Geth Rocket Trooper has shot a missile at me and it turned NINETY DEGREES to hit me. I've been consecutively sniped from across the absolute LARGEST of the maps by encroaching Primes and have seen them toss Turrets through SOLID WALLS. Hunters have shot me after I have stunned them and EVEN IN DEATH. Troopers have that damn melee that is just overpowered(while the Player Geth basic melee is damn near worthless). And Pyro's have a range FAR GODDAMN GREATER THAN THEY SHOULD HAVE THE GODDAMN RIGHT TO.

Geth are cheap, Phantoms are cheap, Banshee's are cheap. Besides that, it's fairly balanced.

People complained about geth farming, but it was due to the fact that Firebase White was a crappy map, not due to deficiencies on the Geth's part. If that response is factual, it's based on one of the most facetious arguments that's graced this forum, which is saying something.

if they just limited a prime to shooting a 2 shot burst i think itd be perfect. 1 prime alone cant stagger lock you to death

You don't need powers. You can shoot em just as-well. But that is not the point. The point is that they are super buggy, insanely accurate, have insane damage and stagger at the same time. I mean c'mon that Rocket Trooper spams rockets just as fast as a Marauder shoots his Phaeston. Without any time required to aim. Completely broken.

Why not introduce smth new to the Geth? Why not give us Geth Hoppers, those were great enemies back at the time of ME1. You already have a model, BW, why not do this? Geth in their first edition were easy and laughable, now they are cheap, frustrating and unfair.

I usually find myself on the winning side when Geth turns up in randoms, but even winning doesn't seem a lot of fun, just a chore. No matter if I have the right setup for it, it's annoying. Reapers on the other hand generally feels like a nice challenge, and even when turned into paste and wiping 2 seconds from getting that last objective and cashing in those 30k credits, the team can have a laugh about it because something really wild, but not unfair, happened. Cerberus may feel more easy, but the occasional wiping there is usually also because of some freak thing going on; usually fun. The only thing not fun with Cerberus, is getting swarms or lines of phantoms coming at you when dragging the pizza. That feals cheap. There have becom ever more of those, since they're the only scary thing in Cerberus, and I wouldn't be surprised if even more phantoms are part of the "buffing"... Enough of that. Losing against Geth is not fun. It's more like why? That shouldn't have happened! FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU......

Fix the Geth. Nerf and unbug them so they feel a fair match, then add some new unit, change some abilities or just add more of the troopers who seem totally absent in later stages. Troopers are an easy match, but they can stomp you to death. Whatever it takes to have them as challenging as Reapers, yet in a fun way.

BW has tons of experience with DnD-games. Use that experience. Be a good DM, not a bad one.

I agree that I don't like their cheap tricks and how they are bugged, but that still means they are difficult.

Agreed, geth are cheaters. The hunters, rocket troopers and turrets are the worst.

Of course it's hard to win against cheaters. The point is that it's not any fun playing against enemies that don't obey the rules of the game.

I used to play alot of geth, no not the fbwgg way. But because i enjoyed them as a enemy. But all the new modifications made me stop playing them at all. Now its mainly cerberus and some reapers.

I've been killed by staggered Hunters and Rocket Troopers more times than I could bother to count. The entire faction is cheap.

This is true, the Geth are technically cheaters as they don't obey the rules of the game.

Sure they have a lot of cheap stunlock but at least make it so that they can't shoot when they're not supposed to, or kill you with fire that's not even touching you.

Look, I usually play in PUGs and yes, Reapers can be extremely diffficult if you have a few subpar players in your team. Even though without an organized team I probably only extract against Reapers about 50% of the time, I actually LIKE playing against them.

I may die quite a lot when fighting them, but it never feels cheap or really frustrating, and my skill is actally important in beating them. Thus, they Reapers are enjoyable.

The Geth on the other hand are composed of what we call "fake difficulty", which pretty much negates the player's skill and employs extremely frustrating tactics like frozen Hunters shooting at you, barrages of 3 missiles to the face, massive stunlock from every source, retardedly powerful Turrets which you can't even see sometimes... it just doesn't feel "fair" compared to the other factions, and that is why almost everybody hates playing Geth.

Being a videogame, FUN is the most important thing, and right now, Geth are simply NOT fun.

Just my 2c

almost everything is wrong or irrelevant to balance changes.

multiple missiles can't be fixed in balance changes.
turrets behind you can't be fixed in balance changes.
hunters ignoring stagger? latency related -> can't be fixed
stunlock? what's it?

In all seriousness..

I found his argument lacking in actual substance. When four phantoms spawn in wave 9, and 5 in wave 10, he needs a serious reality check. Yes, I officially doubt he plays the game at this point.

Here is what I expect:
Phantoms have twice the health, are invincible (more so then normal I mean), and are stagger proof.
Nemesis no longer have to aim to shoot you, and have cover-penetrating shots)
Centurions fire exploding rounds with the force of grenades
Engineers now place six turrets down, all of which are immune to sabotage
Assault Troopers now throw six grenades at once
The Atlas magnet sync kills from across the map.

Seriously, are NOT hard. They are cheap and frustrating. Any data they pull from matches is going to also be skewed by FBWGG farms. Because to be honest that's pretty much the ONLY map that actively works against the Geth and makes Geth a breeze. Outside of that map Geth become a NIGHTMARE of FRUSTRATION.

I can NOT stand playing against Geth (Gold). I would rather run Reapers all day everyday with a level one Krogan with his other point spent in racial passives.
