I like how OP is saying that "you can't commit genocide just because you're afraid of extinction," implying that galactic extinction is somehow not as bad as the genocide of a single race.
If you refuse to use the Crucible, you doom organics to losing the war. By failing to act when you had the chance, you are directly responsible for the genocide of every advanced species in the galaxy, including the Geth.
Furthermore, you risk dooming all advanced life for the rest of time, since Shepard has absolutely no reason to believe this cycle's warnings will be any more effective than those of previous cycles.
But apparently this is all ok, because at least Shepard gets to feel good about himself.

I don't doom anyone, The galaxy fights and dies, rather than commit a war crime, but no sense starting this specific arguement again since it was argued about 7 pages back. The Stabilo Boss wrote...

That question makes no sense as it does not apply to the ME universe, but is simply inflamatory.
Honestly, OP, why do you care if others agree with you?
I think you're wrong. You have this romantic notion of war. That fighting a lost cause and dooming others to a fate worse than death is somehow acceptable.
I will never agree with you. My Shepard knows that war is not romantic. She is willing to die to stop the Reapers, and yes, she is willing to condemn the Geth to the same fate. She accepts that.
You will never agree with me. You will never accept responsibility for the death of everyone in the galaxy. But that's your story.
Mine has Shepard stopping the Reapers at tremendous cost. She can live with it. And all of the children from now well into the future can live with it too.

Agreed. My Destroy Paragon Shepard? Wanted everyone to get out alive but if he couldn't he'd side with those he felt deserved the chance.
He sided with the Geth, he sided with the Salarians (the Krogan weren't trustworthy to him. Neither were the Salarians but at least they were the devil he knew and could deal with), he did everything he could to save friends. Wrex learned of his betrayal and had to die. Eve died because he didn't save the genophage cure, Mordin was shot in the back by him, Kaidan was shot, Thane got skewered, Jack died during the SM, Zaeed was fatally shot before he could reach him... He already had innocent blood on his hands. What was a bit more? He shot the tube not out of spite but because it was the only act he could consider taking. The Reapers were nothing but puppets, the species that were used to create them long dead, they deserved peace and to not have their bodies used as the Catayst's playthings. He also destroyed EDI a constant companion and squadmate who only had his back and trust in him. But...she had told him destroying the Reapers...was worth non-functionality.
He lived. He hated it...but he lived. He'll never forget what he did but it was worth it to him.
My reject Shep was different. Both were perfectly valid characters and way of playing the game.
