Does that mean 'bro' is jst another word for 'nob with a serious case of schadenfreude (look it up)'
What a very unbro thing to say.
It's cool, he's just not a bro, it takes a certain amount of bro-ness to be a bro
This comment itself is not kind. I can take a joke, but this is labelling someone and discriminating because of the label you have given them.
Can you be mature and be a 'bro'? I guess we'll find out soon.
BTW 'takes a certain amount of bro-ness to be a bro' doesn't mean anything. its like saying it takes a certain amount of friendliness to be friendly. Well obviously, thats why they are different forms of the same word.

Im going to post this again, purely because i think it sums up the comments above me:
All this bro stuff just sounds like segregation all over again lol.
Or perhaps being chosen last in gym. (Which thankfully never happened to me, but i can imagine)
Saying someone is not bro just sounds like a new way of saying 'you're not cool and I don't like you'
What i guess i' trying to say is....well, 'grow up'.
Bro-down, and man-up
It has nothing to do with segregation.
You are either a bro or you are not a bro. It's simple bro-cenomics.

I find him boring and depressing. I have nothing against the fans thou.
Alot of the people i meet who are ME fans also have the same opinion. Garrus fanboyism seems to be a BSN thing.
Again I have no problem with garrus fans, your all free to like/dislike what you want.
it's ok, you're just not a bro so you wouldn't understand
Haha, well i'll take athletisism and social life over 'Bro' anyday.

There are 10 bros in this thread having light-hearted fun and one brocahontas taking it way too seriously.

Bro is the opposite of what you're saying. Being Bro is completely and wholy independent of gender, sexual orientation, race, creed, hell, in Garrus' case, even species. In fact, my dog, not to be confused with my dawgs, who are also Bro, is a very Bro creature.
You simply are not Bro, and, as such, appear to be jealous of those that are, and that's a very un Bro mindset.

In no way was I being demeaning, you just simply don't have the bro-liness to understand the art of being bro.

Thats like saying the people that didnt support a certain german political party (nudge nudge) were just jealous of them.
Of course not, im angry with you because you are annoying me on urpose, which is a very non-'man' thing to do.

In ME2, Garrus becomes a vigilante symbol for justice, and learns what it's like to lose a team, which is something Shepard can definitely relate to.
And in ME3 he is there to constantly remind you that you can finish the fight. He provides Shepard with some stability while the stress of being the galaxy's savior is pressing in. He's retuning the favor Shep provided in the first two games.
And through it all, Garrus never doubts you, but he never worships you either. Other companions seem to idolize you or put you on a pedestal. Some just want you to help them with their personal issues. Garrus was the only character I looked at as an equal throughout the ME3.

What about women who romance garrus? He is not their 'bro' but he is their lover. Therefore it is possible to like him for another reason than him being 'bro' (unless loads of straight male gamers are creating femsheps to roamnce him to get rid of the frustrstion that comes from repressing their attraction to men

What are you expecting of this thread now that it is established that we love Garrus because he is our bro, and after people like me already gave our definitions of what being a bro constitutes. You yourself then turned the thread into "what is being a bro?" thing. Are you looking for other reasons?
If so, I will stop broking around and let you continue.

One can be both a significant other and a Bro at the same time. Being Bro is independent of all other relationships.

I reckon Chris Priestly is a Bro. And Ninja Stan definitely is.
