^ Exactly this. How many friends can you pinpoint the exact reason you like them? That's why Garrus is such an ace character because he isn't one-dimensional like too many other videogame characters, he's got class .

i didnt count ME2 characters because just about every character in ME2 is a little different in ME3....depending on Paragon and Renegade

ME2 was less plot driven than ME1....so the characters had to standout more...and they did... and they continue to stand out in ME3....epecially considering what little "SCREEN TIME" some of them have

I did not really find him that interesting in ME1, but Shepard really influences his character. And he really grew on me in ME2. He feels like Shepards best friend or at least someone he can always count on, probably because he is with you on 3 games, and joins you without question. You have been through so much together, so you have lots of history with him.

Of course, Wrex is also a great character, and a bro to Shepard, but he is not there for you all the time since he got to look after his people, and there is not that much character development going on other than him becoming a leader for his people.

Garrus rocks. I have found that all the human squad mates are just annoying and 2 dimensional, with the exception of jack. The aliens seem to have much deeper personalities.

Even with those restrictions, I don't think he qualifies. Wrex would be the better choice there, or perhaps Tali.

Even Ash and Kaidan go through more conflict and change than Garrus does, despite being sidelined in ME2 and 3.

Also, having romanced Garrus on my FemShep, I found it pretty cool that he's interested in a romance even though he's not really physically attracted to you. He just respects the hell out of you and can't imagine rolling around with anyone else. "If we can make it work, then yeah, sure, why the hell not?"

Just used the last of my rope, so you're safe. ;-P

Of all of the squadmates, Garrus is the one I'd most enjoy hoisting a few with, followed closely by Wrex. But Wrex only had a major role in ME. Garrus and Tali were the only squadmates that were there through all three games, so they are the ones that feel most fully fleshed out as characters.

Thats similar reasoning to why i liked the tali romance. Since you dont know what she looks like when you start the romance, it feels its more about the personality than the looks, whereas, with miranda...

Im sure there are some miranda players out there that love her truly, but i feel that if she was ugly ( i know it wouldnt fit her story, this is just a what-if) i dont think as many people would have romanced here.

Tali on the other hand is masked and so she could look like a minger She could be a Dovahbear! Thats why it was my fave, although its similar to garrus' since theres ot the same sexual attraction as there is with miranda (and to a lesser extent jack)

All I'll say is you'd best pray Taboo-xx doesn't read that post about Miri
