Yeah, im a bit nervous he'll stumble onto the thread, see what i wrote, transform into a were-chicken and peck out my eyes

If he looks anything like Miranda it'll be a were-chipmunk instead.

Oh God, I hope taboo sees this.

I may or may not have already messaged him a link to this thread...

Can't wait 'til he comes back.

I'm suddenly reminded of the Green Mile

The reason I enjoyed Garrus as a companion in the trilogy (and one of the reasons he pretty much has a perma-spot on my sqaud) is that you can tell that, unconditionally, he trusts in Shepard, so much so that his personality develops based on Shepard's interactions, allowing Shepard's own preferences on conforming to galactic law to influence his own when he sees the results of the Commander's work. The Commander's assistance with Sidonis and Saleon shows the reciprocal nature of their friendship and this character development, along with the increasing inclusion of humour and good-natured banter between the two even when things are at their worst, makes his development feel more organic than what some other characters experience (Ashley's lack of trust in Shepard felt, to me, a little forced in ME3, for example, as did). To put it bluntly, it's a good representation of how friendship works...that, and the fact that he'd be damned handy if those bottles ever rebelled.

All i can say is your post lived up to your name, cohesion :D

Although it could use some formatting hehe.

I like his voice. I could listen to it all day. If they released a DLC that consisted of nothing but thousands of extra lines for Garrus (in any of the games), as ridiculous as that sounds, I'd be the first in line to buy it.

Plus, I always just liked him as a character, although I'm not sure how to explain why. I always thought of him as my Shepard's best friend in the universe. I haven't done a playthrough of the series as a male Shepard at least in part because dudes can't romance Garrus. Srsly.

His voice acting is fantastic. I would never romance him though. Not when I can have a romance with Liara and a bromance with Garrus at the same time.

Or perhaps it is you who is me?

On a side note, the Sur'Kesh mission is a treasure trove of dialogue when you bring both Liara and Garrus. With Wrex alive of course.

Poor Del :(....Percy is definitely NOT a bro.

Back on topic, as others have said Brandon Keener does one hell of a job delivering those lines...big props to Patrick Weekes as well. Takes a damned talented writer to make a character so easy to like.

I think the VA is great to. The line i think he says best is 'Thats 40 000 creds for a full set'. He does the 'T' at the end of 'set' so perfectly that is the only time i have ever wanted to squee.

Well except for morrigan in dragon age's amazing quote 'And...now we have a dog. And alistair is STILL the supidest member of the party.'

Yes, it is. Garrus, the Bro he is, just can't help but make fun of the fact she's the Shadow Broker... constantly.

Though I tended to side towards Liara & Tali (when she showed up) as my squad in ME3 as that was my original ME1 squad.

Just waxing god damn nostalgia.

Now thats committment lol. but surely you must have with me1? orr were you just there for the femshep liara sex scene? :P

I actually got ME1 a month before ME2 came out, and I wanted to try it out but I didn't want to spend too much time fussing with the character creation, so I just made a female character, thinking I'd just get to experience it before inevitably switching to a male one. For whatever reason, I didn't, though; I didn't think it was a big deal whether the character I played was male or female, and I liked the voice actor for FemShep.

Then I learned Garrus was going to be an LI in ME2 and I was like yeeeeeeeeees!

Plus the lines in the shuttle.
Liara: We'll get the females Wrex.
Wrex: Thanks, Liara. There's noone I'd rather have helping me.
Garrus: *ahem*
Wrex: Hahaha. It's good to see you too, Garrus.
I just loved having the old ME1 team back together.

I used Garrus and Wrex in ME1 as the ultimate brosquad.

I like Garrus but always felt that the whole bro thing was forced. In ME2, he barely says anything at all if you play ManShep, so there's pretty much a whole game devoid of visible friendship development.

The shooting scene in ME3 made up for that a little, though.

Ha ha. I love how the camera acts in that scene too. It's just Wrex and Liara in frame, then Garrus coughs and it lazily pans out a little bit so Garrus is in view.

It was great to have the ME1 squad back.

Who would be the bro-squad for ME2 and ME3?

ME2: Garrus and Jacob? Garrus and Legion? Garrus and Zaeed?

ME3: Garrus and Vega? Garrus and Javik? Garrus and Kaidan?

C'mon. The reach/flexibility story was the biggest bro moment of the game.
