He's my bro, and unlike Liara, he's not convinced we're in a relationship.

Along with Joker and Tali, Garrus has been on-board the Shepard train from the very beginning. Plus Garrus being Garrus, he is the kind of friend who will help you hide the bodies when necessary :P

For reason and one reason alone: the line

I am Garrus Vakarian, and this is my favorite spot on the Citadel

Better question: Does he have reach?

Well I've never told Garrus I love him so this sounds normal.

Go out there and give them hell. You were born to do this.
Also, there was a really awesome dialogue about meeting in the bar in the same discussion but I cannot quote it. My favourite dialogue in the trilogy, period.

Garrus doesn't challenge Shepard in any real way, he's always nice, supportive and deferential toward Shepard. Garrus never disagrees with Shepard or flouts Shepard's authority. He's loyal to a fault. He is good-naturedly competitive with Shepard in ME3, but it's all very jocular. People like characters who reinforce the idea that the player character is awesome. And Garrus really really likes you. So does Liara. So does Tali. Meanwhile, characters who actually stand up for themselves and have a different point of view, and actually call Shepard on her BS are maligned. One of my favorite characters in ME2 was Tela Vasir, because she called out Shepard for being a total hypocrite, which of course she was. And I loved when Kaidan and Ashley laid the verbal smackdown on Shepard on Horizon, but of course most people were all "Kashley was mean to me! I'm Commander Shepard!!!!!"

You mean when Kaiden/Ashley basically accused Shepard of being an untrustworthy traitor despite the fact that he/she just saved their life fighting the Collectors? Yeah, that was a good call, wasn't it? Tali trusts Shepard but she's not stupid about it; she scans the Cerberus Normandy for bugs and never lets her guard down. She knows the mission is necessary but constantly warns Shepard about his situation and not to get too comfortable.

In essence, you are blaming Garrus and Tali for being good judges of character.

There is some truth in there I think...
I actually liked the way Kaidan stood up (haven´t  played with Ashley).

I must say, I found myself more drawn to Jack than any other character, so there is probs a lot of truth in what you say for me.

Oops Posted Image  But its propably because we don't get to have as many conversations with her as we do the other original gangsters. But yeah, she's allways been there to put us back together again after a hard day of catching rockets with out faces :P

Good. You will survive the coming doom.

A doom where everybody becomes 90% scarred, and only those who love Dr. Chakwas can receive the scar removal surgery!

MUHAHAHAH!

Why does anyone like any character? Because they do.

Mass Effect is filled with many distinct characters that different people are going to gravitate towards.

The bromance did not officially begin until ME2, after Shepard had more than earned Garrus' respect. No argument there on Jack, she was a good character.
