Why do peope like Garrus so much because isn't  obivous... he has followed Iskander the Conqeur's Path to Brohood.

It is evident in his every action...

In Mass Effect 1 = He declared he follow Shepard like man

In Mass Effect 2 = he followed Shepard like a Boss

In Mass Effect 3 = he warmed your heart like a baby.

That is the Iskander Path to Bro-hood.

He's the only squadmate that doesn't sass my Shepard. That's good enough for me.

Why does anyone like any character? Because they do.

Mass Effect is filled with many distinct characters that different people are going to gravitate towards.

Besides Zaeed (and didn´t care that much about Jacob and Jack either) I actually liked them all a lot, which is pretty remarkable when you think of it...

Garrus doesn't challenge Shepard in any real way, he's always nice, supportive and deferential toward Shepard. Garrus never disagrees with Shepard or flouts Shepard's authority. He's loyal to a fault. He is good-naturedly competitive with Shepard in ME3, but it's all very jocular. People like characters who reinforce the idea that the player character is awesome. And Garrus really really likes you. So does Liara. So does Tali. Meanwhile, characters who actually stand up for themselves and have a different point of view, and actually call Shepard on her BS are maligned. One of my favorite characters in ME2 was Tela Vasir, because she called out Shepard for being a total hypocrite, which of course she was. And I loved when Kaidan and Ashley laid the verbal smackdown on Shepard on Horizon, but of course most people were all "Kashley was mean to me! I'm Commander Shepard!!!!!"

You mean when Kaiden/Ashley basically accused Shepard of being an untrustworthy traitor despite the fact that he/she just saved their life fighting the Collectors? Yeah, that was a good call, wasn't it? Tali trusts Shepard but she's not stupid about it; she scans the Cerberus Normandy for bugs and never lets her guard down. She knows the mission is necessary but constantly warns Shepard about his situation and not to get too comfortable.

In essence, you are blaming Garrus and Tali for being good judges of character.

Regardless of the events on Horizon, Shepard IS a traitor. Cerberus is an avowed enemy of the Alliance. You remember Cerberus in ME1, right? Remember how they killed Alliance Admiral Kahoku? Remember how Cerberus lured Alliance Marines to thresher maw traps on Akuze and Edolus? Remember how Cerberus experimented on Corporal Toombs, an Alliance Marine on Akuze, by injecting him with thresher maw acid to observe the effects? Well Alliance Marine Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko remembers. Alliance Marine Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams remembers. And here's presumed-dead Shepard, alive with weird cybernetic scars, saying "trust me, old buddy old pal, I'm Commander Shepard, baby!" Not good enough. Not good enough by half.

The Bottomline is that Garrus followed the Path to Bro-hood there is no denying his Bro-hood.

I find it quite funny that the guy who plays the man who writes the Bro Code is gay.

And this is a time when people click like on the samantha/femshep video and then post insulting comment about gay people :P

Leaving him in the Citadel in ME 1

not problem for the Iskander Path to Brohood for it is so powerful and true that it bend the laws of time and space.

In short - even if the bond does not exist in your save date... the fact that it exist will make a reality marble where it exist in your saved game data.

There are still people in this world that insult people based on their sexual preference?

Wow.

I felt reasonably positive about his character in ME1 but not really in ME2 or 3. I felt pretty forced into some sort of 'bromance' with him, whatever that means.

Do you actually think he writes it? and the character he portrays is straight.
