Always found Garrus pretty boring and kind of annoying, to be honest.

I honestly don't mind Garrus. But he wasn't that big on me in ME1. The problem in ME1 he was just a security office tired of his job. He completely bailed on his obligations to come save the galaxy with me. It just never sat right with me in that regard, how he just willingly dropped everything his life had to travel the galaxy simply because he's unsatisfied.

I did like the way they took the character in ME2 though. Realizing after all that happened he couldn't go back and simply went rogue. Did a good job of it too. Also you got a much better personal picture of him in ME2 then you did in ME1 where he just complained about C-Sec and the differences between situations.

In ME3 they chose one of the better options to end his character by more or less "redeeming" him during the Palaven arc. Overall he's a strong ally and a friend but not someone I'd refer to as a true bro. Maybe he and me Shepard just never fully clicked.

Garrus is just..so boring. I don't know what it is - he's just got no appeal whatsoever. In fact, he's the one squadmate I felt like was a chore to talk to. I only talked to him to get everything out of the game..otherwise I'd probably ignore him. There are MUCH better characters in the game. Samara, Mordin, even Liara. Just about everyone else is more interesting than him.

Its purely because we have more time to learn about her (plus i loved her room ) than with garrus.

Well, lack of convos with Garrus in ME2 was dissapointing, but he had quite a lot of lines in ME3, and ME1 had established his personality, so it's all good in the end.

I can't really explain why he's so much more awesome and likable than most characters. It's like Tyrion from GOT. He just 'is'.

I'm not trying to be mean because you do deserve some respect regarding your thread but reading this reminded me of the Salarian on Surkesh when Shepard kept playing with his computer. Laugh it will feel better

I didn't find this until my 2nd playthrough (my most recent - couldn't replay until EC).

Was hilarious. Definitely a jab at those old flash games where you endlessly press a button whilst the narrator tries to get you to stop.

Why does everyone forget that Tali doesnt give you crap and garrus says 'If i were you i would have taken the dalatress' offer' and that he thinks you should keep the collector base.

Tali never, ever gives you crap. Saying garrus never does is just a lie (also see: sopping him killing sidonis)

Long Story Short: Tali never gives you crap. Garrus does very occasionally.

No one is putting down Tali here. But she can never be a bro. That's just how it is. She can be the female equivalent of a bro, and by that I don't mean romance interest but rather a friend who is a girl that you are extremely tight with. But that's not a bro.

@ OP, if you ask why a very well liked character is liked and one person says what everyone else is thinking then you can't complain because you asked a question where many people agree on the same answer.
Fact is to the majority of BSN Garrus is our broturian drinking bud.

Actually, Tali does give you some crap in ME2 about Cerberus and the Geth, aka, Legion. Dont get me wrong, I love her to bits but... She also can't be a bro. For staters... She's female. What's the female equivalent of a bro anyway?

With Garrus and Sidonis... When did Garrus ever give me crap about that? He was a intense during the mission, but that was pretty much it. He actually let it go too easily in my opinion.
