I play with several under-16 players who are perfectly fine. But I think the generalizations about middle school aged-boys hold up under scrutiny far better than those made about most any other group.
In no small part due to the crushing pressure to conform to social norms that stigmatize sensitivity and intellect--pressure that is brought to bear at the exact moment of greatest vulnerability to peer influences.

I'm 28, but there are a few members in my clan that are 50+. Average age of a tMc member is 34. We do not allow those under the age of 18 as we find they lack many of the following characteristics:
Self deprecating humor, the ability to laugh at themselves, inability to grasp sarcasm, lack of respect for others, no respect for themselves, incapable of controlling one's brain-to-mouth filter, etc. (by etc., I mean to say that I don't feel the need to go on)
We have men and women players spread across PC, Xbox, and Playstation. There are members on three different continents. Some are single, dating, and married. We look to have fun and get along with anyone looking for a good time. Often, if you see one of us, there are others waiting to join. We're any easy going bunch, but will stand up for ourselves and other members. Games that are played by us range from simple arcade games to AAA titles you all know and love.
Anyhow, seeing as I've gone off topic here, just want to say that yes there are members who are older who play. To any who may have been offended by my spiel, I apologize. Now, enough with the yakking, let's kill something.

Too many of you to quote to do it right, so I'll just blabber a bit.
43, father of 3 - Atari 400, to 800, to 2600. I remember when floppies replaced cassette tapes to load games (when they weren't a plug in ROM). Played on the TSR 80s as well. Played every video game that took my quarter back in the day. Programmed in all sorts of languages over the years, from ASM to basic, pascal, PL/1 executed w/ JCL, C, C++, to Java... every scripting language out there, and pretty much dabbled in everything from LiSP to SmallTalk to... well, crud, too old to remember.

It's strange. Forever I was hardcore CoD, BF3 and Halo. But since March 6th I've been plaing ME3 exclusively. After seeing many like myself here in these forums, I know why. I have assassins creed 3 on pre order but now I'm wondering if that will impede my ME3 time!

Im 18 aswell but i never run into 12-15 year olds. Theyre all playing COD most likely. I like how ME3 is filled with older more mature players.RoZh2400 wrote...
Am I the only 18 year old here? It's like the distribution is 12-15 year olds, then 25-35 year olds...

I turn 30 in a month and 2 days. I've been a fan since March 2010. I saw a commercial for ME2 during a UK Basketball game, bought the game, and been hooked ever since.
