I think that as the event draws closer, the group running the show will simplify things to the point where everyone knows whats going on and what they are doing individually. All they need right now I guess are people willing to host games and spread the word.

I understand, but I didnt ask about any packs being awarded. 

Although... if all the matches played are gold, after all is said and done, everyone involved will have more than a few credits to spend, so reward packs would kinda be a moot point.

considering these matches will be played over the course of 7 days, that's enough creds to buy 10 PSPs easily with no problem. but to gt the commendation medal, you need to survive till extraction. all who live and get extracted will be makred down and awarded a commenation medal in the group and a plague in the group's hall of fame when you reach N7 status, which is extracting 7x. only the first initial extraction will count, everything else will help the other squads fair better in their attempt at infiltration.

This is something I have been wondering as well. The squad laeader part I can kinda understand, but why not have all the matches take place over the course of one or two days. If not to allow everyone a chance of completing this challenge without havimg such a larg committment.

This should actually teach Bioware that they should expand their multiplayer in game modes and other stuff. If a community would go this far to have some fun they must be really bored with the game or really committed (I'm assuming the latter). Creativity is obviously the main ingredient in this op. I'm glad Bioware supports this, but I would also love it if they could make official or actually reward the participants, especially the creators/organizers of this op.

Necessary Double Post:

Why not assign everyone who wants to participate a Squad Leader, and have the events take place over the course of 2-3 days (to keep the event within a manageable timeframe), additionally, a clear consise explanation of what people need to do to participate, and all of the events that will be taking place (because many do not read Walls of Text) and a seperation of all of these components with a specific format to bunch it all together would make it easier for newcomers to this thread to get up to speed.
That and an explanation of the roster, I see several peoples names several different times. The less complicated this is made, the more appeal it will have, and the possibility for a consistent event in between Bioware events could be possible.

Again...very good idea, try not to build on it TOO much.
