Introduction:
I was playing today and thought "Wouldn't an Asari Sentinel be cool!" I'm not the kind of person that simply leaves ideas like that to the dust bin of history, oh no, I came up with an entire multiplayer character to fill that role (lore, powers, characteristics).

Overview:
In 2184 a jointly owned Human-Asari Bio-Medical firm rented a lab on the planet Noveria and began a series of studies that would come to be known as Project Hypatia. The goal of Project Hypatia was to create a reliable of supply of biotically adept Asari for the booming Terminus Systems mercenary firms. Initially, the project tank-bred fairly normal Asari that matured rapidly, however, these Asari had trouble acclimating to their inborn biotic power. After a series of failures, an executive ordered the integration of highly advanced nanomachine technology into the tank-bred Asari. These nanites, circulated through the bloodstream and via an implanted subdermal network of nanomachine conduits enhanced biotic powers and capitalized on the Asari's natural ability to finely control their nervous system to allow the subjects to control swarms of biotically charged nanomachines with their minds. The end result was powerful but unstable Asari capable of bending technology and the forces of the galaxy to their will. When Project Hypatia became public after a disastrous leak in 2185, the Matriarchal council considered deploying Justicars to wipe out these "abominations" and would have done so had the Reapers not arrived. Now these Asari fight for their home and for the galaxy like their natural-born counterparts. Project Hypatia Asari are easily distinguished from all other Asari by the blue-green tinted nanomachine conduits running just beneath their skin, bundles of these conduits are particularly noticable on the inward side of the subject's forearms, these conduits connect to nanomachine launching implants in their palms. All PH Asari have partially synthetic eyes with bright green irises.

Gameplay:
Project Hypatia Asari are somewhat sturdier than their natural counterparts. Their Repulsion Matrix ability allows them to create a safe zone to harbor other players and secure objectives. Their Enthrallment ability allows them to corrupt organic beings and bend them to their will. Finally, their Deconstruction ability launches a blast of biotically charged nanites that provides an all purpose offensive strike which devastates most foes.

Shields: 600/600
Movement: Nanite Dash (Reskinned Biotic Dash)
Heavy Melee: Warp Omniblade (based on engineer's incendiary omniblade but with a corrupted blue flame effect similar to the Warp biotic power)

You used Hypatia. I named my FQI after her. For that reference, you get my support.

Well done my friend. With all this work, you're giving Bioware an easy job

If possible, could you do a Turian Infiltrator version of this?

This took about five hours all told and I had a particularly clear vision of what I wanted the class to be like. I'm not saying no, just not now. Sorry.

That's fine. When you get a chance, and have a clear idea, it would be much appreciated.

Like this alot!
Found it odd we didn't see any Asari Sents about since there are quite a few around in ME2. (haven't touched ME3SP since MP is too much fun lol)

Well, reading that I'm not sure what world it wouldn't be overpowered and bring down the nerf hammer in. That being said, OMG. I want her, she sounds like she would be my favorite character ever (and not just because of the OPness I see in her, but her play style sounds perfect for me)...

I do wish I had a way to tone her down without breaking her...

Anyway, all things considered, Very Nice Job.

Edit: on second viewing, balancing and whining about balance feels really out of place in an idea thread, so we'll just pretend that didn't happen.

Well, in terms of balance, her powers that are highly damaging recharge fairly slowly. Her passive (Repulsion Matrix) power grant no extra damage resistance (it just redirects threats) and she cannot, on her own, create biotic combos or tech explosions. She is less mobile compared to the human Sentinels (no roll ability, Dashing takes shield power) and weaker than all the other alien races (about on par with the humans, but more shield strength).

I'm somewhat concerned by the 45% weapon weight reduction, but other than that it seems realy good!

(I might suggest being a little more conservative with those. Bump after 8 hours, not 8 minutes.)

How dare you sir! Kidding. I'm just monitoring the main page and bumping it every time it reaches the bottom of the list. Eventually it gains enough momentum and I don't have to anymore, but for now I'm just priming the pump.

Is anyone in here capable of doing concept art of her? I have specific details (armor permutations, etc.) in mind for her appearance but I cannot draw well at all.
