I'd like a definitive answer if possible.
If I import my dead Warden and complete Awakening, how does Dragon Age 2 interpret the data? Is my Warden still officially dead in the save data still, or was he officially a participant of the Dark Ritual? I don't mind playing my Warden alive through Awakening if he's still considered dead in Dragon Age 2, but if he's suddenly alive, I also don't mind keeping him dead and skipping Awakening all together.
Thank you.

Anyone, please? Anyone at Bioware still responding to tech questions? Is there a customer support number or something...

Not after the first patch. See the description of the place.
EA Help is the official tech, at the bottom of every page in here.
I don't do digital snippets, myself. If it's not a clean purchase on a disk, I don't get it, personally. This is the off season for game forums, and Oblivion is now quite old. DA2 was quite unsuccessful in comparison, and the forum lost readership early in the game's sales cycle." This forum is for fans and owners of Dragon Age II on PC to assist each other with technical questions and advice. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts at the link at the bottom of the page. ( https://help.ea.com/ ) Fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here. "

"Official" support won't answer this question, since it isn't technical.
Short answer is, "Try it." You can always replay things if you don't like the result.
Longer answer involves using any one of the many "World End-State" editors to shape things just the way you want before starting a new DA2 game. I happen to use "Gibbed Dragon Age Save Generator", but there are others. (Google is your friend.)
