Okay, so personally i haven't purchased wardens keep for the simple reason that people say it is too short. i WILL however be buying return to ostagar, as this is supposed to be EST. 40-60 minutes to fully complete (so i hear) ... but even so , i think i speak for everyone when i ask, is there DLC planned that will last longer than an hour? if so can you comment on estimated length (even if it is just a general aim) ?

bare in mind i realise you cant give too much info out yet, so my question is this... do you plan to create a longer DLC than wardens keep and RTO?

Thanks.

there planning to suport DAO for 2 years.

but they have to bring out Bigger DLC ( Like fall out 3 )

for the simple reason. poeple will feel ripped and won't buy the DLC anymore. so they lose money.

the reason there bringing out smal DLC now is because every body is stil playing DAO. poeple are stil hyped and lost in there world that makes for good impulse buy

but ones poeple stop playing DAO they wil bring out a Big Expasion pack (because poeple wil not come back for a hour) to get poeple to go back to play DAO then they wil bring some smaller DLC and start over again

this is not comfirmed or anything exept for the 2 year suport but it just makes good busines sense

At first I complained about warden's keep being so short. Then I remembered that I had already pulled close on 200 hours (assuming the game doesn't record re-loading) out of the original 50-something dollars. Not to mention the good times produced on this forum and what I'm sure will be produced by modders.

So while warden's keep is rather short, and I'm sure Ostagar will be at least as short, I'm almost glad to spend an extra $20-30 so long as it supports Bioware.

^ Agreed but that feeling might wear thin quickly. Even staunch bioware fans will need a decently long enough DLC to get them off Mass Effect 2.

If they are working on several DLC projects simultaneously. It is more likely the shorter ones are ready to be released first.

I don't know what the approximate length of the larger DLC will be.

If the DLC added an additional hour of story or expanded on the party interactions or improved on the bland endings, I would buy it... but I will not purchase 1 hour hack and slash packages, a total waste of download time. At present I am disgusted with how totally unattractive and plain looking high end quest armor looks (Drake Armor lol how pitiful) and the pov variety of armors and robes across all classes, I'm talking about visuals not stats.

I still maintain that DLC should be 1 hour per every dollar of cost!

They had a reported million plus downloads of Wardens Keep so thats 5 million american for roughly 40 minutes of play!

Somehow I doubt Wardens Keep costed even 1 miilion to make (priced at 20% cost to profit margin). Id honestly be surprised if it costed over $200,000.00 to make.

I think 1 hour content per $1.00 DLC cost is fair and well above normal cost/profit ratio!

Think about it, DA:O costed me $75.00 to buy and I got 67 hours (first play through) enjoyment from it. Thats almost at the $1.00 per hour of content ratio already. Why should DLC be more costly?

I believe one of the Mods said he was able to play through Ostagar in 20-30 minutes but he is a mod and probably knows exactly what to do. For the average gamer I would guess it will take 30-60 minutes, similar to Warden's Keep.

If the game wasn't so good and so replayable then the super short DLC would really be a punch in the nards ... but as is I'm cool with a couple more short DLC's as long as something substantial is in the works. And by substantial I mean something like Shivering Isles for Oblivion. How about Fallout 3 DLC? The Anchorage one was short but Point Lookout was rather spacious and had some fun quests, new items, new enemies etc. and Broken Steel redid the game's ending to please fans that wanted to continue. Personally I think the game should have ended and never went above the lvl 20 cap but I am the minority in that mode of thought.

Bioware doesn't exactly have a good track record with DLC though.

And WTF? There isn't even a patch for the 360 version of the game and it has some serious issues that need fixing.

No, there will never be 'large' DLC. The game has only been out for about two/three months, and thus any hope of expansion-level additionel content has gone straight out of the window.

If the DLC's are going to be as short as wardens keep then they just need to hold off and come out with full expansions.

I guess you are saying, you want to wait first what happens with the game? Ill do the same before spending money into a baby nobody knows what it will be at the end (equal to "Morrigans Offer" for illustrational purposes).

They have said that there will be small DLC and large DLC. Presumably, also medium sized DLC.

A DLC buffett, if you will.
