I know this seems like one of those "where do babies come from" questions, but I assure you, that is not the theme of this thread.
The other day I thought to myself, I should go see these special extended endings for myself, but sine my normal difficulty save ate itself, I'll have to get back to dragging myself through insane before I can do that. Now it seemed like a promising venture, especially because with all of the MP promotions I instantly get a readiness score of at least 1275, so if I got tjred of doing every little thing, I could just plow through story and be done with it. This is what I thought.
What I was distressed to discover is that if I spend pretty much any time at all playing, when I go back to the war asset computer, all of my N7 special operatives vanish.
Now this is the part where I would normally make a joke suggesting that they all had a party and called in sick, or went on vacation or something, but honestly, I would really like to know what is going on. Is my PS3 losing connection with the ME3 server? If so, why? Does updating the war assets because I got a new one in single player cause the MP assets to freak out? Does this all come back to my corrrupted save, trying to horde all of the MP assets for itself even though it doesn't exist anymore?
I'd really like an answer, or at least a solution, because I'd be pretty sad if I was deprived of my breather ending because my MP war assets were too busy to show up to the final battle.
Where do my promoted people go?

I don't know when the game checks for your promoted soldiers (N7 Special Ops I think it's called), but if you boot the game and load a save and then go to your War Assets computer in the back of deck 2, you won't see your MP war assets at first. Press square (I think) to switch to the Galaxy At War map, and if you switch back to your list of war assets, it should be updated (it's listed under Alliance). Don't know how long it sticks though, could be that you have to do it only on each boot-up of the game, or after each loading of a save or even after each time you leave deck 2.

Except, what is happening to me, is I log on and they are there and then 30 minutes later when I've plowed through a mission they are gone. I see this adversely effecting my readiness rating, as the final set of missions take quite a bit of time, giving my N7 special operatives a considerable ammount of time to decide that they don't want to participate in the final battle.

You EMS (Effective Military Strength = War Assets * Galactic Readiness) is locked the moment you start the attack on the Cerberus base. So simply check if the War Asset computer shows your N7 Spec Ops team correctly, then start the assault on TIM's base.

When viewing your war assets try pressing the square button twice as this sometimes corrects it.
