I've expressed it before and I'll say it again: I miss the game I bought.

I agree with the OP. It would probably be ok if they buffed us along with the enemy. Instead, they keep catering to the Krogan Vanguards and Geth Infiltrators who find the game too easy and care not for the dead once-upon-a-time glass cannon rotting on the floor somewhere... and no, I don't have anything against those two classes at all. It's some of the elitists who only play the strongest classes and then complain about the game being too easy who are a problem.

I have to say I'm with you...

The elitest fools have and are ruining this game. I know its too late to get the game back to how it was but couldn't BW just leave it the hell alone untill they can fixe the known bugs?

I remember Multiplayer in beta. I recall I failed first 5 or 6 bronze matches, mostly on first few waves. Got my first success with a level 14, and party of such, or something.

We were all learning how to play the game you will say.

They are learning now I will say to you.

I have to say I agree and disagree. I got a copy on PC after playing on xbox for a long time. So I had a fresh start with no unlocks on the PC.  Granted I dont attempt gold on it yet cus the account is still lacking in good items but I can do silvers with not much problem (other then the PC random disconnect issue).

However, I think this is because I have plenty of time put in to this game and know how to play it well enough. I've seen a lot of ppl struggle on Bronze that you can tell have just started.

BUT then again as someone said, they just need to invest some time in to Bronze and they'll improve. I play another Co-Op MP game quiet often called killing floor and every time I introduce someone to the game they struggle to like mad on normal mode to just make it to the final wave. That's part of the Co-Op MP. You die a lot learning the game and have to rely on your team. Some times due to bad luck or just inexperience you die and fail the mission.

BUT I think IF they arent careful the Creep will end up being too much for new players.

My personal thoughts on how to keep the game accessable to newer players yet challenging to old players is to, in time, add a new difficulty level AND/OR game settings the host can use to restrict the players abilities/items/weapons/NPCs,such as Common Weapons only, One Random Skill Only, Banshees and Brutes only, No rockets, etc. The first option of course probably being the easier one for BW.

Reminds me of Halo Reach's options and different game modes. Anything that gives players more options for gameplay modes sounds good to me.

But, I just have a difficult time seeing it happening with the game as is. I'm not sure these are the types of changes BW can make to the existing game.

A harder difficulty, that would be wonderfull. With all the increased XP and Credits that come with it.
With all the changes in difficulty without any increase in the credits or xp earned is a joke in my opinion. So we're expected to continually work harder for the tiny handouts on offer? Seriously not cool...

Never said we couldnt be rewarded for it.   Posted Image  Killing Floor eventually added a new difficulty level and I dont see why ME3 cant get one eventually, too.

I will say that the random packs, mixed with the rising difficulty, has made the game tedious and less fun to play.

The difficulty by itself means that normal games have become long and tougher. (and in the case of the geth, frustrating.) That by itself isn't bad, but when I need credits to unlock packs for new weapons and classes (I have yet to EVER get a DLC class.) that longer grind and difficulty means I am working harder, for crap rewards.

That isn't fun. It is tiring. As such I don't play multiplayer nearly as much as I would like. I will sometimes boot up with friends, but then I buy a few packs and am quickly disheartened that all my progress was for nothing.

I strongly dislike(don't want to say hate) "newcomers". They ruin games because developers cater to them by watering stuff down.

I find the opposite to be more often true.

Necroing them when they're approaching a month old? Not quite as much.

buff, nerf whatever. the idea of balancing is cuasing all kinds of chatter, that spurs interest, and thus continues the cycle of garbage that is this game as of late. If things were left alone, then people cry boring. So what's it going to be? I wish that all powers get a buff. Guns go back to day one and BW can keep the glitchy geth. Powers and teamwork should be enhanced and promoted. The events are doing just fine in that area, but this thought process of guns, guns, guns fills people with the idea that if I just had the level 10 I would dominate, I would be special. team work needs to come back people. balance teamwork for a change! Vets are telling newbs that all that matters is gun and BW thus destroys the game...

Mass Effect 3 multi-player will always have a learning curve for players from other games such as COD or Battlefield and even from people who have played Mass Effect 1 and 2 campaigns.

Mass Effect 3 you start with what 5 weapons and 2 of them for sure are weapons that are just horrendous even on Bronze difficulty.  The classes you start off with are useable if you have watched another player that has played the multi-player and they convinced you to pick it up.  Otherwise the classes are just like oh that sounds cool and you randomly select it with one or two weapons for the character.  Maybe put a point in some random skill and you are into in a Bronze game.

That first Bronze game for that new player is just a crazy experience because you don't nessarily know what is coming or how to deal with it.
