If they're still evaluating cloak, why would they buff rifles immediately. Testing takes time and iteration.


I believe the general gist was that Tactical Cloak made snipers too good, while without TC, they weren't good enough. The concept of the nerf was that TC would be nerfed significantly, with emphasis on the sniper damage portion, followed by a latter universal sniper buff. This would serve the dual purpose of slightly nerfing snipers on Infiltrators, but buffing snipers on other classes.

As it stands, only the first half happened.


Again the level of implementation and degree of change needs metric testing, which can be occurring now.

Banshees were buffed by the patch. They now have unlimited vertical range on their jumps.

That's too hard to do.  BW spends no more than 10 minutes a week on balance changes.

Yeah and they never used to block powers, now they do it like 90% of the time when they are down to armor.

I'm getting very tired of these player nerfs and enemy buffs.

I enjoyed the game as it came out from the box, but my interest dies a little more with every player nerf and enemy buff.

I mainly play on bronze, just because I enjoy the game, quickly becoming I used to enjoy the game. :(

I main my Asari Adept (and did not the buff to her a while ago at all), but I really hated the Infiltrator nerf, as I enjoyed playing with them and using stasis more than my usual biotic explosions. I don't see many Infiltrators since the nerf.

This is the first online MP game I have ever played, and only purchased XBL gold for this game, so I could get the ending I wanted. I planned to keep playing it, even though it is no longer needed for the ending I want, because I enjoyed it (note the past tense). ;)

I am not condoning cheating. I'm talking about the nerfs to the biotic explosions, tactical cloak, etc... and the enemy buffs across the board.

Many players are just casual players like me and usually play on bronze to just relax and enjoy the game. If the silver and gold players want the game harder, just do the enemy buffs there and not on bronze.

Please, forgive the rant. I just don't want to see a game I really enjoyed ruined for me as a casual gamer who really liked the MP.

I love how you turn this around on me personally. Love it.

Either way, just because you need to headshot doesn't make it worthless. Thats why its a sniper rifle. It still does MUCH more than a Paladin, especially on an Infiltrator. Shotguns are short range, and even the "longish range" of the Claymore is mitigated by its one shot status.

Lets keep it professional, and not critique the fact that I enjoy posting here.

A Bw is based on an anti-material weapon ( irl its based on a barret .50 cal) these guns blow limbs off if you fire them, it shouldnt be headshot only. Paladin is light as crap, got a higher rof, more accurate than the BW and the only benefit he doesnt recieve is the little SR bonus damage. Shotguns short range? Claymore, graal, gps and my wraith beg to differ as well with the reload cancel you're able to fire 2 claymore shots and 4 wraith shots and a claymorw can snipe on dagger and u'll get 2 kills when you're trying to aim for the head with your BW which is complete garbage

stop adding to hp and shield rates, its a vicious buff cycle for the bad guys. Just add a new difficulty and be done with it.

So it was health and shield buffs, huh? Ok, well as long as there was nothing ridiculous.

The buff to the Collector AR though made me laugh. :lol:

Cerberus A.I. also seems harder to me now. I played a few matches against Cerberus after the buffs and it seemed like they were tossing A LOT of frag and smoke grenades, way more than usual, and being way more aggressive. Maybe it was just the matches I was in, but I normally own Cerberus with my Asari and I was finding it really hard!

That's too hard to do.  BW spends no more than 10 minutes a week on balance changes. 



They don't like to change related things too often, they prefer to give some time to see the change effects.

It didn't became harder to me. The only thing that I really felt is that the nemesis is more annoying to kill now. I would take out the buff on her and buff even more the atlas. Nemesis are a problem only when you aren't shooting her, when you are trying to deal with other things, so a buff in her health don't bring difficulty. Atlas can become a problem if you take too long to kill him, mostly in gold, since there will be more than one trying to flank you..

Dear God... have you ever been on a map on Gold where there've been like... six Nemesis around you and all you hear is the zoom sound they make. Scary as ****.

More health doesn't make them any more dangerous. They need new abilities or in the case of the atlas, more speed.

More health just makes the overpowered guns even more powerful compared to reasonable guns and biotics.
