I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like for a newbie playing multiplayer with low level weapons. There's a very fine line between - Too easy - a Challenge - and Frustrating. Even upping the Challenge can negate the idea of why people play games - to have fun.
I am certain its not nearly that bad at all. A LOT of the powers in the game have recieved buffs, and except for Infiltrators, virtually every class has gotten significantly better since release. Many low-mid tier weapons have improved significantly as well.
Human Adept, Human Soldier, Human Sentinel have all recieved very significant buffs. Human Engineer and Human Vanguard have recieved some minor ones. Human Infiltrator has been nerfed.
That ALONE means that most starting players will have about just as easy a time, if not a better time, playing than when the game came out.

So basically, this week sucked. Not only were the changes delayed, but they're all buffs to the only (mostly) fair faction, except a buff to a gun that almost no one has or uses, and a buff to a consumable so that it has a greater effect on... what? Some Kroguards? Or maybe it's the Geth? I honestly can't think of any class with more than 1500 shields.
/frustration
This is a misunderstanding of how ops survival packs work. When you use them, they regen your health and shields, and provide an additional layer of shielding overtop of your standard, represented by a glowing whitish-blue color. This made it so that you get a one-time bonus 2000 shields, which helps you get out of said pinch easier.

Cerberus changes completely dominated most things that were worthy of adjusting. Yet AGAIN Assault Rifles go amiss. How hard is it for crying out loud? Spec savers ftw.

QFT. I'm really starting to get aggravated with the way they ignore all the garbage AR's every week...

so it's an across the board weapon nerf, pretty much a knee-jerk a reaction as the sabotage nerf was.
How is this a knee-jerk reaction? According to their internal statistics, Cerberus was the easiest faction on ALL difficulties by a margin which clearly they found significant. Cerberus was too easy compared to Reapers and Geth. How else would you fix that, short of making Reapers and Geth easier, which doesn't need to be done?
Cerberus has ALWAYS been the easiest faction (though Geth is the easiest to abuse and farm). This is not exactly how I would have done it, but its far from knee-jerk. The Sabotage nerf was done in the second week of the game; this is 4 months in. They've had time to think about it.

The ability to predict where I will be standing in 5 seconds and toss a grenade over there.

It will now simply take me an extra bullet or two to kill the easiest enemy faction. So I doubt they are going to change from being the easiest

Why increase Bronze difficulty? That is for starting players, basically, with trash guns.
Not everyone plays on Silver and Gold, and Cerberus is easier on every difficulty level.
I just wiped out on wave 9 in a Silver match I joined in progress. The team looked OK as far as level and weapons and I was playing a level 20 Turian Sentinal. This is not an uncommon happenstance so this begs the question of what is concidered balanced? Do you need a specific party makup? Do you need optimum weapons? Looking at statistics and expert play does not represent what happens in random public matches. Even when the Devs play with the public how many times do you play Bronze or Silver? And how many times do you carry those groups? BTW - The group was playing reapers which seems to be the hardest on Silver.

You do realize that those grenades were aimed at a teammate and that you were just unlucky to walk into them right?

I think the Collector Rifle is a pathetic pea shooter, but what the hell? I'll pull it out and dust if off later to see if it's as terrible as I remember.

On paper it looks like it might be decent at rank X now, but who on earth has it at rank X?

You'll have to excuse me then, I thought if gave a fixed amount and some damage reduction, rather than a percentage+a flat value.DarkerCompanion wrote...

Honestly, I almost never use them. I want them to hit 255 so I can get more medigel/rockets. Not to mention, half the time I use them, it still fails and I end up downed and short an OSP.
I'll still stand by my statement that is is a sucky week for ME3 multiplayer. The only reasonably fair faction gets buffs, and none of the classes or weapons (excluding the CR) do? Now my choice in faction boils down to 'do I want to get pinned in cover by Phantoms while also being blown up by grenades, or do I want to have to deal with an enemy disigned to force you out of cover, but that also has the most accurate and powerful ranged units (aside from Phantoms) and an enemy that has effectively a 10-15m radius that she can arbitrarily decide to outright kill you if you're within it, or do I want to be stunlocked to death by enemies that can still shoot and stun me while they are stunned/frozen/stasised?'
They need to fix the bugs that make the factions cheap before they talk about balancing factions against each other. When (read: if) they ever fix the bugs that make Geth so much harder, they're just going to have to buff them.
I do realize the balance changes and bug fixes are different, but can we work on getting the things that aren't bugged balanced, and then when a bug gets fixed, they can balance that one thing with everything else. Instead of just making more work for themselves by trying to buff/nerf things to account for the bugs, as though the bugs are always going to be there (which is not a very encouraging attitude, by the way).

I was hoping for some buffs for the underpowered and underplayed classes. Human adepts and Batarian sentinels remain the cellar dwelling red-headed step children of their classes.
Still don't like the human adept but I'm starting to warm up to both Batarians again

No idea. The only reason I even have it at Level I is because I ordered the Mass Effect 3 art book from Barnes and Noble before ME3 came out and the code came with it. *shrug* It really is a crap gun though, even for an AR. I don't think anyone that doesn't have it is missing out in the slightest.

Making an Atlas a bit more durable won't help it be much more of a threat though. It's still slow, and it's still easy to not die from it. The best it can do is tie you up for a bit longer, which admittedly may be the point, but I'd prefer the proposed burst fire alterations mentioned a few pages back.

Our Intel boys have indicated the recent reinforcements Cerberus may have received were actions taken in response to our own Frontline troops commenting on the battlefield such remarks as 'killing turrets is easy' and 'its a good thing turrets dont have more armor'.
Let this be a testament to the nefarious surveillance abilities of our enemy, and a reminder that despite all outward appearances, our enemies are watching our every action and listening to our every word.
This in mind, your Squad-Leaders will be soon issuing you cue-cards each containing a slew of official Alliance-Sanctioned combat banter to deploy in the field, such as 'my weapons are ineffective' and 'my enemies are already too challenging'.
With luck, we will fool their intelligence network into thinking they actually need to downplay their hand and rescind these recent battlefield enhancements, effectively weakining their presence throughout the galaxy.

"I'm glad they wasted so much effort deploying so many phantoms to this one location! Even a single one would have done the job, but now they are spread too thin! I repeat; sending more than one phantom would be such a waste! Good thing they make that mistake all the time!"
Yeah . . . reverse psychology!

. . . what?
How much money? How much did you spend for that?
I play xbox and pre-ordered the collector edition of ME3. Part of that deal was to get the AT-12 shotgun for single player. They could not make it work on single player, so to make nice they gave us seven special packs for multiplayer - each pack had a collector assault rifle upgrade. So its been at 7 since then. I am glad that they gave it a buff because it was worthless ( why use that when the revenant is better ). Anyway they might have helped a few of us with that buff. I really hope all the assault rifles get a buff.
