I liked both, but Ashley badly needed an upgrade for 3.

I don't see the need for pumping up her breasts to the max however. I thought it was insulting.

This made me laugh. I can't believe it is that difficult to have two head skins, hair down for non combat and hair in a bun for missions. Personally, I like the hotter me3 Ash.

Haven't you heard? Bioware is a very small company and doesn't have enough money for such impossibly expensive things - or so they claim. Totally ignore all those actually small companies that DO achieve things Bioware claims to be impossible.

By that I mean that Ashley having her hair in a bun makes a lot more sense if she is going into combat, but that she looks a lot better with her hair down.

We need the old Ashley back :(

The old racist Ashley who preached poetry and tried to get in bed with me every chance she took? Or the new Ashley that didn't make it because I blew her ass up in Virmire.

*Insert evil laugh*

You're stupidity is amazing. I can't believe people are still going on about Ash being racist - which is false.

Hair up looked a bit more like a military officer, but I like the fact that BioWare toned down her xenophoby in ME3. Her DLC alternative armor is the only good one, though, those "combat clothes" are awful IMO.

She clearly looks better in ME2 here

Wow.  Totally agree.  I didn't recognize Ash in my 1st ME3 playthrough and I can see why.  Thanks for posting this.

Definitely hair up.  I liked the idea of letting one's hair down on the Normandy, but not on Ash IMHO, because I remembered her as the dedicated soldier that would never let her hair/guard/squad/commander down.  However, if it was at the hospital when she was out cold, that would have been a really great idea, just to remind us she had her vulnerable side.

But also, I agree with those that prioritized her uniform.  I thought that mini-skirt didn't look right on Ash.

The middle picture of Ashley (ME2) isn't a screenshot. The other two are.

Why is Ash requiered to have her hair in the bun?

It made sense in ME1 when she was doing physical work aboard the Normandy. Why would she wear her hair in a bun in ME 3 when she is simply sitting on the couch and watching stars.

Although, I will agree that her uniform made little sense? What was it anyway? It doesnt look like any official uniform, rather some ridiculous one-part leathery Cerberus uniform. Why is she wearing gloves?

I prefer it up because it shows her features better. I've defended the hair down for a while for the sake of the character, but I don't personally like it.

I suspect she's wearing gloves because that was originally going to be her armored look as well as her casual. "Armored" outfits all have gloves, you'll notice.  and her outfit  has the lights on the back where weapons go

Yes, that was going to be armor.

Ash fans raised such a huge stink about it when it was first revealed that I believe they hurriedly made up a real suit of armor for her.  Thus why her armor looks basiclly like reskinned N7 armor from ME2.   (Not that I'm com[plaining.  It's a good look)

You'll notice that Ash can still wear that ridiculous uniform in combat as her alternate armor.

They always intended for Ash to have armor. Just that they probably didn't think nobody would have her wear it, so they didn't spend that much time and just gave her a reskin.

I personally don't think her bun was that interesting, so I'm fine with the change.

Eh I like them both. Hair should have been up during missions and down on the Normandy or in the Hospital. But that would be too much work for Bioware.... <_<

Up with proper armour or hair up and wearing a proper Alliance uniform.

Ash is dead in most of my games but I hate the re-design she had for 3.

She's a lot hotter in ME3 so I prefer her hair down although I liked it in a bun as well.

Hair up. I general I prefer her looks in ME1/2. There she looked like a soldier, now she looks like she's going to a party.

ME1 Ash is memorable.
ME3 Ash is generic.

I need an alternate appearance pack which would bring me Phoenix Armor Ashley with hair in a bun.

Purposely sexifying an established flawed and interesting female character is never a good move.

Liked the look better in ME1/2. There she looked like a soldier, in ME3 she looks more like a model.

Up.
Or maybe down with no make up.
