Well, the obvious difference is that the pc version is better than the Xbox and PS3 version.
Reasons
-More quick slots
-Better quality of graphics
-Mods
Thats it really, quite fankly, you cant argue that either of the console versions are better.  Well, you could, but you'd be wrong. = P

Much much better controls overall in the PC version as well.

If you've got a good PC, there's no question thats the version to get.

The only advantage for the console version is, if you prefer to be playing games on your couch and you don't have your PC hooked up in place where you can lounge on your couch while playing.

They get patches, console users (xbox 360 at least.) get completely ignored on huge bugs such as dexterity damage contribution. No mods, no editor, no cookies. It's a sad, sad game.

This.

And radial menus.  *shudder*  If you don't mind radial menus, not an issue.  If, like me, they are annoying as heck, then it is an issue.  The consoles have radial menus.

Oh, and unless I'm mistaken you cannot pull back for a top-down tactical view in the console versions, either.

PC version is cheaper.

---

Console version can be dropped in the game system and played right away, more or less, without installing, so there's that.

Actually, at around this time of year, you can get a decent rig for less than 500 bucks.

One thing left unmentioned: The consoles have a reduced difficulty level.

Console Normal = PC Easy,
Console Nightmare = PC Hard.

There's really never any reason to get the console version of games, even Street Fighter (with a gamepad, obviously) is better on a PC (if you can run it) since you can mod it. Hook your computer up to your TV (via most modern video cards), and there you go.

I'm playing the consol version because my computer can't quite handle the game (alas, my five year old computer is FINALLY showing its age). Since I'm the type of person who gets things for the long haul (hence the sentence before), I don't have the coin to drop on the computer that I want. So for me, the consol's the best option. The radial menu and the trigger buttons aren't too bad. They're fully functional and aren't game breakers, but having played WOW and have used the quickslot buttons, I can definitely say that that would be better since you have instant access to more spells vs. going through menus (it'll pause for you).

There's one thing that the consols do better though: Quickheal. It instantly chooses the best healing item to heal you with instead of menu hopping. My friend with the PC version was jealous.

I play the console version and I don't really have that much of a problem with the controls. I do understand that the PC will be much more comfortable to control.

My biggest problem is the graphics differences for the PC and console. Usually if a game is multiplatform, it does not have a big big difference, but this one has a HUGE difference.

Think the game was made on PC and imported to the consoles.

Well, most games are made on a PC whether or not they're multi-platform.  DA:O was originally a PC-only game that was ported to the consoles at a later time.  I can confirm that the visuals are much better on the PC...especially if you force AF texture filtering in the video driver.

Oh, I'm going to quote myself here too:

This is why PC > Console. Mods. 25 Tactic Slots and Advanced Tactics are your friends. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

One common complaint is the limited tactic slots (or rather, having to spend skill points on them), which becomes a non-issue on PCs. ;)

Feel free to send me 500 dolars youve just got lying around...oh and "around this time of year"...is the hardest if your a family.

My pc couldnt even run the Character Generator.
Least on console, when l buy l game...l know its going to work without having to fork out more money to run it.

So l mighten be able to cheat with mods, l may have to use my brain a little more, and the reflexes may get a tad more tested...but l sure saved a hell of a lot of money that can be used for...oh l dont know, bills...maybe a presents for the family.

Main difference:

Consoles: nearly bug free and easily playable. Unlikely to ever in the history of ever run into a game breaking or even slightly annoying problem. The absolute perfect and flawless gaming experience.

PC: everything from farting while playing to your firewall and other running software along with hardware incompatibility and literally a quadrilljillion of other tiny and unpredictable variables can and likely will keep you from playing and enjoying the game. Do not expect it to be playable until patch number 5748647584758759024305840758 is released sometime in the year 9500.

Console version comes with a shortbus pass and complmentary head gear.
But you have to get the collectors edition for the buck teeth and drool rag.

If you didn't get a console in the first place, you'd have the cash for it, no? (Unless we're talking about a 200-300 dollar Wii, but DA:O isn't on the Wii, is it?)

Other than the memory leak for some versions, what bugs are you talking about? Add in the fact that you can by-pass/repair issues with the dev console and we actually get patches... for example, for the Dagger/Dex bug that exists in all versions. (Well, existed, since the recent patch fixed it.) Not to mention less (reported) problems with the DLCs thus far.
