If it did the reapers would stop following you if you only pinged once on the galaxy map.

The reapers seem really stupid because the Citadel is guarded by only Harbinger, Marauder shields and the three huskateers. Aparantly then, if the Normandy flew behind Harinbger, and just happened to drop of a few troops, then Harbinger would have to contend with people coming from two directions. There are people saying that he's prioritising the ground troops over the Normandy and that he can only fire X amount of lasers at once or something, but if the Normandy were to do this then the Reapers would be fairly screwed.

I would say, then, that we have to then assume that the reason Harbinger didn't shoot was because Harbinger somehow can't see the Normandy, whether it's because of the Normandy's stealth drive (and making the assumption that reapers only see in "heat-vision"), the reaper IFF or because he's blind.

Yes the reapers set the omega 4 relay to hurl and ships which werent reaper allied into the debris field. But the IFF itself was in a reaper. And since the reapers are synthetic, it would be logical to assume all the reapers have an IFF and use them to keep tabs on each other and where they are in the galaxy. I will tell you what the reapers would consider out of character, seeing a ship on their sensors that looks like a reaper ship (IFF) scanning planets in a system that they have already taken over.

Yeah and by the time they get into the system they see a whole bunch of "Reapers". Since the scanning isn't still going on.. how do they identify which "Reaper" to chase?

You guys are missing the bigger issue. Haby didn't just ignore the Normandy. He stopped shooting altogether. Those reaper beams have always been deafeningly loud, but listen to the scene. All I hear is alliance fire.

I think they should have had Normandy pick them up prior to charging the beam in my opinion. The place they put it was a bit out of place, but I still liked it better than not having that at all.
