People are trying too hard to hate this scene.
Plus people seem to forget about the reaper IFF.
They arent hating on the goodbyes, they are hating on the illogical time an place of these goodbyes.
Plus the reaper IFF point is irrelevant since we know it doesnt mask the normandy because reapers chase it in the system scanning minigame.
The reason why the reapers chase you is that the IFF doesnt work as soon as you start scanning the system alerting the reapers that you are not one of them, so they attack. Otherwise you can fly around perfectly without any trouble. Just like in the battle scenes at the end where no reapers attacked normandy while it flyed to earth.
Logic wins again.
First of all the word is 'flew' not 'flyed'
Grammar wins again.
Secondly, be a dear and explain why harbinger's eyes follow the normandy when it takes off?
Seriously is that the best you can do, pick up on a spelling/grammer mistake?
I think you should look at alot of the posters on these forums, since just about everyone has a case of bad spelling/grammer every now and then.
Oh and by the way harby's eyes are not following the ship, they are focused on the ground infront of the conduit, you know at the attacking hammer forces. Because his eyes never move.
Logic wins again.
Watch it and honestly tell me that harby's eyes do not follow the normandy at around 1:42
Watched your clip, and harbinger appears to be standing still while the normandy flys past it, eyes don't follow and stays focused on the ground force.
I'm just not seeing what your seeing, the closest it comes to looking like it's following the normandy is your time, but than look at 1:46 onward, harbinger isn't looking at them at all.
Trick angle creating an optical illusion is what I think is going on, since the camera is panning with the normandy and harbinger is big enough to still take up a large portion of the center frame.

As for why he didn't shoot them...only guess is that harbinger was too busy disintegrating everyone and everything that tried to get to the beam. Though it's somewhat poorly executed.

OK, let's just all stop making up stuff to support our arguments. People did complain about itThe same thing happened during the intro, but no one complains about that.
Edit to add: Sorry, missed your use of tense there. People did complain about it happening in the intro, but are no longer complaining about it now because we're now discussing the EC and how broken that is. Everyone agrees that it happening in the intro is bad, so there's no need to discuss it further.

And palavan, you snuck right in and none of the reapers were like "The normandy! Get it!!!"
Or on thessia, the reapers were invading like they were on earth and didn't target the normandy.
Speaking of earth, what about earth!? The very height of the invasion the normandy flys right by the reaper fleet and doesn't get persude?
The normandy when not using radar like scanning is undetectable to reapers, as stupid as that sounds in game evidence shows that.
Because unfortunantly cerberus only had one and they couldnt reverse engineer it.
During the Palaven mission the Reapers were fighting the Turian fleet and the Normandy was moving.
And wasn't it the shuttle during the Thessia mission?
Do you mean the opening? In that case either the Normandy's IFF hid them (in which case why doesn't everyone have it and how did the Collector ship see it?) or it's so the game lasted longer than 15 minutes.

It was stupid during the intro as well. The ship was still for no reason. Shepard was watching the kid but Joker didn't know that and ,when Reapers are invading, wouldn't care. What did he fall asleep?

His eyes are just lights, meant to give harbinger a little more character and look more imposing than the other reapers. I bet he has no real need for them, since none of the other reapers have this fancy visual feature.

Then you are admitting that bioware does things just for effect, although at the cost of the lore-integrity?
Such as Harbinger not eeding those lights, such as him not shooting it, such as the thanix missiles which were deemed imporrible in the codex, such as what do the keepers eat, such as why dont the reapers just send out loads of oculi to decimae the fleets, such as why thanix cannons arent really used in the final battle despite them being the most powerful weapons we have?

No
they can mix reaper tech with their own (EDI)orbuild weapons with own tech based on reaper designs...though not the exact same firepower (thanix cannons)
and they can put reaper tech in people (IM and cerberus soldier)
but they can not replicate reaper tech
they use what reaper tech they find.
why do you think cerberus wanted the collector base for.

If Bioware didn't explain the teleporting squad plothole more people would have been pissed. Yes, the execution was sloppy (why couldn't Cortez pick them up instead?), but it was better than refusing to address the issue.
Oh, and Shepard forcing his squadmates to limp towards the beam wouldn't have helped anyone either.

I didnt admit to anything, your the one making accusations and nitpicking a great series. Harby has eyes to make him look more important than he actually is (he was the mastermind of ME2 but really is only another speaker for the reapers to organics.. like sovereign before. the real enemies of ME were the reapers as a whole. Just like the IM was not indoctrinated before ME2, because he believed in defeating the reapers at any cost (while getting some of their tech as a bonus) and didnt even mention controling them until ME3.Flog61 wrote...
