How about fixing the bugs instead of spending even a second banning a player that uses them.

You talk as if it's one or the other.  Do you not think for a second that the devs aren't doing EVERYTHING they can to address the bugs and patch them?  Cause they are, period.

But that in and of itself has absolutely nothing to do with someone's CHOICE to cheat as well as ruin the multiplayer experience for other players.   If you intentionally cheat, especially repeatedly, then you absolutely deserve to be banned.  I think it's awesome how BW puts their feet down with cheating.  It's exactly how it should be.

5 months in and not a single bug that existed since release has been fixed. Yeah, they are working real hard.

You only think this way due to your ignorance as to what it takes to actually fix some of these issues.  Yes, they are working hard.  Yes, they care.  Yes, they're as frustrated as you are about it.

What am I suposed to do about that?

You'll want to contact me3mpcheaters@bioware.com before the next ban wave goes out. They can remove the credits for you and restore your account to a legitimate state so you do not get banned.

I'll do so as soon as possible. I do have 1 more question. Is there a way that legitimate players can protect themselfs from those cheaters? Other then contacting you via the email.

Right now, we're okay with players finishing their match if people are exploiting the infinite missile glitch. However, if you stay in the lobby after said game then you will be considered in the same pool as the cheater(s).

When you say stay in the lobby do you mean start another game with the missile glitches?
I have been in a couple of games and only realised late that another player is missile glitching, but ive finished the game left the lobby and not restarted another game with them.

There are quite a few missile glitchers on the xbox and not every player will know that what the other players are doing is glitching and a bannable offense. I dont think its fair to ban all people who are not glitching but happen to be in the same game as others who are doing this. A more public warning should be issued before any bans take place. Perhaps a splash screen everytime before you go into a game warning of the ban? The main thing however to do is that the glitch should be patched as soon as possible before unfair bans are issued.

Hi Thomas, thanks again for everything in this thread. It's pretty friggin amazing how much insight you've given us.

Another quick question if I may. I've been sending you guys a ton of emails about rocket glitchers, but always wonder just what level of detail is necessary. I've kinda gotten lazy now and just started basically stating what I saw and heard and giving the gamertag. So my 2 part question is just what level of detail do you guys need in reports of those doing the rocket glitch? And should I keep sending individual emails or should I just kinda wait till I have a bunch and then send them all in the same one?

More often then not if you provide us with the gamertag/origin ID/psn ID we can piece the rest together but putting the date/time as well as ny screenshots/photos you have greatly reduces the amount of time we need to spend per case, thus freeing us up to investigate other reports.

Unfortunately there's no sure-fire way to make sure you don't get into a public match with a cheater. If you ever have any questions regardign the legitimacy of something you saw (and its effect on your account) you can always contact me3accountadmin@bioware.com.

We look at each case individually and when in doubt we fall to the side of caution and do not reprimand. That being said, I think it's pretty well known that this is considered cheating.

I skimmed through the thread to see if you answered yet but couldn't see it.
Do you consider camping spots where you can go down and fall through the map a punishable exploit? I've seen people doing it over and over again on White, Goddess, and Dagger.

Not everyone who plays the game will visit these forums. i havent really trawled through this thread until today to see if the missile glitch is a bannable offense before i ran into a couple of games today.

im sure the way you look at each case individually is fair and sufficiently cautious, but i would put forward that not everyone knows that the missile glitch is a bannable offence.

If you honestly think they would spend $40,000 sending a patch fix into Microsoft that they didn't think worked, there's something wrong with you, son. Of course they've been working on it. But stuff happens, and it's not as easy as you'd think.

I'm sure if it WAS as easy as you think, they'd have it fixed by now.

I know the subject for mods have come up a few times and I have a suggestion, that may have been given a few times.... and likely involves about 1-2 gigs worth of programing.....

Why not have a setting to allow people to use mods in MP matches? People could go in, select the mods they want to use and open it up to people to play for fun, but have it coded so that they cant get credits or xp from it?

Doesnt work likr that. The mods are game files. Namely Coalesced. This would require forking the game into a pc vs console code branch...
If BW had an approved mod list for PC, that would ve cool. Like a 'void your warranty' kind of thing.

What is the benefit in falling through a map ? Happenned to me playing Vanguard when I joined a random game on Jade. I just decided not to play vangyard unless hosting .

I was just in a match, and someone started using the missile glitch. I quit out immediately, because I don't want to be bored as ****, but if I hadn't, would I get in trouble for using credits from the match, even though I didn't cheat?

Thomas Abram, I think you need to make a sticky about "Missile Glitch". This question comes up like 2000 times, and so far like 10 in this topic.

When you go down in certain places you'll fall through the map and be returned to the LZ with full health and a few seconds of invulnerability. I've seen people abusing these spots on White, Goddess, and Dagger.

Ah Ok . Heard something about this awhile ago. Sounds like a glitch that would be difficult to monitor and hard to prove as a cheat.

Currently, if you're doing it on purpose that's not okay and can be classified as a tier three offense. While we understand that it may happen accidentally we investigate each and every report thoroughly.

Locking this up for the night. I'll open it up on Wednesday.

Maybe you could updatethe op with responses instead of replying in thread? It would be easier to find your answers to the questions that way. I wish modding enemy types was ok as long as thetotal enemy value per waveis respected.

It would be really fun to be able to fight all husks or all bosses etc. variety like this would make the game more interesting.

Thanks!

In the thread listing, click on the word BIOWARE beneath the thread name. Since Abram always quotes stuff, you'll see the OP and all BIOWARE employee responses. It' a little hidden trick.

I understand this may have already been asked, however I don't know what page it would be on in this thread.

However, I'll ask it anyway. If a player ends up in a lobby with a cheater and plays through the game anyway, are all players able to be banned even though only one was cheating?
