I was playing with randoms, which I often do, and I came across my first rocket glitcher. I'd never seen one before, I guess I have been lucky. I was already invested because I had my player decked out with some consumable gear and such, so I did not want to waste them. For some crazy reason I hung around for a second game. To be honest, I was really just curious, since I hadn't seen this before. I was also having problems getting into lobbies, I had a couple disconnects, and I seemed to keep finding lobbies where people would take forever to get 'ready.' So I just wanted to play a match because I did not have much time to play. I left after that second game and went to bed. That doesn't cause a problem, does it?

A glitch like these is Biowares own created problem, they CAN´T ban, suspend or wipe stats of anyone for this, if they do so, please write it down here.
That would be another legally issue to talk about... they can´t prove to anyone that the player did any glitch intended, so until they prove the player did it intentionally, any player is innocent.
IF they would ban, suspend, etc. they would interfere in any given democratic constitution. Better and less expensive they fix their great and unique, but broken game.

As Andrew and Ernest have mentioned it all depends on the case. If someone has used it a single time because they were curious or didn't know that it was considered cheating then a lot of the time we will just send out a warning (which is done at the same time as a ban wave).

If someone performs this exploit dozens of times and is reported countless times then we'll look into reprimanding them appropriately, this could mean the removal of their multiplayer access, the wiping of their manifest, removal of credits, etc. depending on the severity.

Also how many reports do you get a day? How many are false reports? Self Reports? (Don't know if you can answer this or not...)

Lastly do you think you will be getting a lot of false reports with the N7 Soldiers missile launcher ability showing up as [Abram-Smash Missile Launcher Geth Prime]?

Yeah I tested the missile glitch out once to see what the hell it is and how people replicate it. I only recently heard of the glitch where you can dive on the dam in the one level (which really isn't all that helpful as you still gotta do objectives).

Other than that the only glitch I encounter and perform on a routinely basis is the "Vanguarding the game to Death" programming error which doesn't do anything benifical. I try to "Charge" then "Nova" and in the process of it - some how my guy warps through the damn floor or ceiling and I can't play the rest of the match which is really frustrating. Thats more of a technical error though.

You sure are missing a lot of glitches I can get off the map on every map but glacier and I bet I can get off glacier with the new teleport evade...

Of course non of these glitches are that benfical as you gotta leave them to get ammo and a lot you can not get out of once inside. They are just fun for giggles with friends

I'm not sure why, but I haven't heard any mention of Patch 4. I assume it's coming out with Earth DLC, but I haven't seen any mention of it... Without Patch 4, many of the cheating glitches aren't going to be fixed. Any details you can share, or is it true that there is not a Patch 4 for this DLC...?
Can't see how the DLC would work properly in MP without it, though I'm not entirely sure of how the DLC plugs into the main game.

So I didn't know what the missile glitch was 'nor that it was bannable until very recently, and while I didn't do it myself I did stay in a few matches with a glitcher (again, unaware it was bannable). I am concerned because obviously I fear of an association ban but I did not know I was doing something wrong and clearly now I do, not only that but I'll avoid any matches where I find the missile glitch present asap.

Again, I have never intended to be part of something rule-breaking.

Two games I encountered missile glitchers now, two emails to (I persume) Thomas. It might be on gold difficulty, but still people are choosing to exploit so no sympathy from me.

Wish more devs/publishers had more people like Thomas as well. Seems to put the effort in with the community.

During this weekends event, many people were not sure about the time the event ended and that full extraction was required for the allied goal. It wasn't really clear until it was too late. Would that be considered cheating the community, or just misleading? I know... Double edged question. Anyways, great game and keep up the good work! It's nice to see devs hanging with the masses.

Is successfully kicking a cheater or glitcher considered an acceptable alternative to leaving the lobby? It can be hard trying to get back together with a PUG you particularly enjoyed playing with.

Successfully kicking a cheater or glitcher to stay in game with desired players is acceptable.
