I don't think you can abuse a bug that you have no control over when it will and won't happen. You also typically can't extract, move very well, revive people, or kill enemies... so your team is essentially left with a crippled invincible player.

I agree and would be shocked if it was deemed to be cheating, however I've seen stranger things over the years (albeit with less reputable developers).

Okay then, actual question time. What's the situation with falling out of the map? I've asked players, everyone seems to have differing opinions, but I've never gotten a mod opinion in it.

You seem to be good at making me feel and look stupid, but I'd like to point out if they patched the game and fixed glitches, some cheating (like the missile glitch) wouldn't be a problem. Regardless, I changed the post.

Not sure if this was a bug or what, but I spawned into a gold game last night and one of the players wasn't listed in either the in-game score card, or in the lobby afterward. There were clearly four players in there, and all of their names were visible above their avatars. I finished up the round and left so I don't know if it happened again in the next match.

Never said patching it would be easy, never said I could do it. It'd be a good idea to look into getting the issue fixed. Nothing more, nothing less. No need to argue over it, but I will indeed check out the thread upon your signature's suggestion.

Thank you for changing your post, but it's just not that simple.

Aside from what everybody else and their mother will tell you- that there is no magic button that just "fixes glitches" and that if they COULD have fixed it by now, why would you think that they haven't- but also, they have to release patches and fixes in bundles, and they have to pay Microsoft ( and I assume Sony ) an exuberant amount of money to actually patch their own game.

It is pretty silly to think that they didn't test / think that the patch fixed those bugs before they sent it in, or that they actually PREFER losing customers because of bugs. If they could have, they would have.

I'm sorry, I'm trying to be civil here, but I never said it would be easy or quick to implement. It would be a good idea to fix - nothing more, nothing less. Stopping cheating takes priority of course, because it would probably maybe be easier to do to a degree, but it won't hurt Bioware to consider working on these glitches. Better to start work now and finish later than to never start.

A player can be put into these kind of states by accident or on purpose. Obviously, as you mentioned, if a player accidentally is put into this state there is no problem with them finishing their game. If they purposefully put themselves into this state (which is pretty easy to tell) then that's not okay.

Thanks. I think. I actually checked out your thread - insane to think so many people drop out of CS. I actually think I'd like the challenge. But your right - It'd take a while to fix any glitch, but it's still better to at least start working on it, right?

It depends on how it's done. It's very easy to tell (for your teammates and us) if you're doing it on purpose or not. If you're doing it on purpose odds are you've done it more then once and that's another easy to tell.

Had four players, but only two three show up in the lobby.  Sometimes it would carry through the next round.  I've seen this several times on Bronze recently, have no idea what it means.  Don't remember seeing it weeks ago.

I do hope however that the bolded part is not a blanket statement in how the issue would be looked at. Personally the bug happens to me once or twice a day on days I average maybe 30 games.

Glad to know about the missle glitch not overtly effecting you if you happen on it while in game.

Had this happen and didn't realize it until about wave 4 but started noticing there were an awful lot of missles being shot off by the same person.

I admit, I did not leave as I had on consumables that I didn't want to waste but I did leave the lobby after the game. It was kind of a pain to play in a game like that as it just takes all the fun out of it, watching someone else missle, missle, kill kill. UGH.

Besides, I don't get the point of cheating in a vid game anyway.

What's BW's opinion on the FB Hydra Hidey hole? That doesn't seem to be enough of an advantage to warrant the banhammer to me.
