I'm new to multiplayer, having been a single player gamer all my life. Some of these stuff is obvious, like not reviving others or not participating in hacking.

But I have to say as a newbie I've done a couple of other stuff listed in this forum without knowing that it annoys others. Case in point -

- Shooting targets primed for explosions. How do I even tell if an enemy is primed?
- Killing enemies others are meleeing. I'm always scoring the lowest amongst the four. I figured I need as many kills as possible in order not to look so bad. :)
- Running off with the pizza delivery. Isn't the goal to get the object to the zone as quickly as possible to maximise credits? I don't understand what's wrong here.

My personal frustration is this - people with high N7s and maxxed out weapons running like crazy all over the map getting all the kills. As a new player I don't know if I'm supposed to follow them or stick around the safer areas.

Revive is glitchy. I try to revive whenever I can, if I am not surrounded or facing a major enemy which makes revive very difficult. The problem is, revive often does not work. Many times I can go up to a squad mate. See them down, and see no X to click. Yet oddly sometimes I can click X when one does not show up and revive. Or other times, I see the X and am right in range and not even by a wall, and still, the character will not revive the squad mate. If the reviving action were more reliable, then perhaps you could chalk it up to intention. Just because they do not may not mean, they are not trying to.

My biggest peeves here are disconnections, show stealers (those who care more about getting as many points as possible. And not about teamwork.), and people on mikes where you just hear annoying sounds like screeching or kids screaming or the speaker is a kid under 12 or they insult any and everyone.

One guy that spoke only said a thing 2 times. Once to insult one player, and again to insult another that they were not doing enough or doing the wrong thing, by I presume his standards, and yet, he had the crappiest score at the end of the game. He belittled and insulted others who played better than him? That kind of defeats the point of insulting, doesn't it?

Mainly the problem with people on mikes, is not that they are on mikes but if you are, then why not be helpful to the mission? Not watch tv, give us feed back from your mike, talk about nonsense, or insult. In my experience, most are either arrogant jerks who insult or sound like they have feed back or a house full of children in the background. If it is not atleast constructive, why use a mike?

Another time, I saw a player, not only NOT revive someone when there was PLENTY of time and no enemies around, but TOOK the objective pizza as you all have called it here. Left them to die and walked to the extraction zone. It prevented us from success, because, we were short a person that rounded we needed.

Another nearly identical example, a player went to deactivate a server, one of the 4 objective things. A person was right by him downed, again, he had plenty of time to revive FIRST, before sitting on that objective. So instead of reviving someone who could have watched his back or revived another downed player, this GENIUS, as I use the term loosely, got killed with no one to help him. 3 of us were down at that time and he did that.

It is almost comical when something like that happens, it is primarily their fault for their lack of team work or selfish actions, and when the game is over, they leave as if they were a bratty spoiled child that did not get their way.

Constantly jumping in front of you
Obstructing the "way out"
Acting like a locust and swarm your sector although you already "got it covered"
Setting up in a position and leaving quietly so you get flanked from where you suspected your mate to keep watch
Ruining combos deliberately
Sniping the Vorcha's, Kroguard Krogan's or Batarian's victim on purpose

Agree with some of the above; and am guilty of some too and didn't realise!

yes, I too find revive glitchy, I can be hopping madly around someone who needs reviving and the x doesn't appear. I will also try and get to someone if they're down, but if I'm bogged down with enemy it's better if I get rid of them first otherwise I will just perish too. Better one survives than none right?

primed for biotic explosions/stealing kills: if I do this it's kind of unintentional as I get trigger happy and will have a go at any enemy I see. I feel that as a 'team' member, we need to wipe out as many of the enemy as quickly as possible so that we have a better chance of surviving the round without having to waste consumables.

What I hate are people who insult: joined a silver game the other day where the fourth person (kid most likely) had the only mic (I don't have one, and won't because I make too many silly noises while playing and don't think that would be useful for my team mates). Anyway I quote 'Hey, can you guys hear me? (yes, of course we can) Oh. I guess none of you guys have a mic. How pathetic!' Now, I'm not playing with someone with that attitude, so apologies to my other team mates, but as soon as the level loaded I quit the team.

It also annoys me when people stay out of the hack area, or don't cover me if i have the pizza. The faster we do it, the more cash we get. Simples.

@red_ryder: When a target glows blue or is floating in mid-air, it's primed for a biotic explosion.

Shooting them is not a good idea.

Cheating is not unsporting conduct, its cheating

heres my two cents

- refusing to use medi-gel or rockets and expecting others to carry you
- not reviving a fallen team mate when its safe and easy to do
- rage quitting
- kicking players based on their loadout, rank or level
- not participating in the hack objective
- infiltrators ignoring objectives
- playing music over the mic
- any form of insulting behaviour
- kicking people for not kicking someone else
- taking an age to ready up
- not being a team player and focussing on score
- Dying on purpose after wave 10 objective is complete

Also not getting in the hacking circle when I'll gladly revive you.

Me. I am a terribad teammate. I lag all over the joint and even if I'm standing over you, sometimes I get no revive option. Sometimes even with medigel I can't use it when I'm down. My rockets go through floors if they fire at all. My bullets are actually blanks, my powers don't fire or just fly into the distance. Seriously, the only time I don't lag is when I host...then everyone else does and it's even worse.

Griefing (sabotaging pizza delivery objectives), cheating (rocket glitch), and leeching (though I suppose this isn't much of a problem anymore thanks to the auto-kick feature).

I personally hate people who decide to "carry" the team and runs all over the map whoring points and messing up the spawns making what should be a 25 min game take closer to 40

Those idiots waiting to play "survivor" when all 3 squadmates are dead because they were waiting alone in a corner of the map without helping in any way.

being a host with a low rank and when all three other squad members with higher rank hit ready u leave. This has been happening a lot lately it makes me want to kick the troll. sit there the whole time till everyone joins and hits ready then leave. Other then that leeching its one thing to carry a player that's still catching on but when u have a n7 ranking over 1000 and by wave 7 you have less then 5000 points and u haven't helped with the objectives. That to me is unsporting

Firing your Krysae when that Atlas the salarian engineer has been working on for minutes has about two bars of armor left.

(He actually waited. It wasn't that he happened to show up when there were only two bars left. There were no other enemies left and he had a clear line of fire. He only fired when I was about to finish the Atlas.)

(I've never been so mad at someone in my life. I hope he or she reads this and finds out what an ***hole they are.)

Agreed with all except this one. On bronze, of course. Silver, I'll still give anyone a chance and only kick if they're rude, afk, etc. But if an N7 1 comes into gold, it's obviously the first game they played. I'll assume they picked the wrong difficulty, got dropped into the wrong lobby or just don't understand what each difficulty is like. So I'll vote to kick I'm afraid.

Loadout and character level is fine though.

I think they meant more a case of running away from the extraction zone with the pizza.

Whiny players top my list:
BE's being ruined (I play as an AJ, dead is dead in a co-op game. This only matters to point hoes)
Krysae snipers (more frustrating, again point hoes and even then, CQC will beat them every time)
Meleeing (Guilty as charged. When I see dopey Krogans or hell other classes meleeing Guardians for the umpteenth time, a well placed head shot ends that. Also heavy meleeing everything in sight will also be cause for a bullet in the noggin)

I play to extract and short of that, at least get the money. I won't run around killing everything in sight, but everything in sight will get killed.

That... doesn't matter one bit. It seriously doesn't, because all the points gotten from the team get shared at the end. It doesn't matter if you got 40k and the other one got 300k, you're both still getting the same amount of exp and credits at the end.

It is so hard to tell "Rude" from problems with the game in many cases:

I've likely looked like a dink not reviving someone because the "A" button preferred to have me slip into cover over and over rather than revive them.

Bad setting choices...I've been dropped into several bronze matches as an N7 800+ with a lvl 20 character thanks to lousy matching - I said I wanted silver. Worse was having my lvl 5 adept dropped into gold when I asked for Bronze. No idea.

Rage quitting or just lousy connection? I've dropped from a game yesterday where a Banshee got me but it was just a connection lost issue.

There is no excuse for music over the mic or non-game talk.

To a degree I agree. I, however, don't like sitting on the sidelines while someone is spraying enemies with this weapon. Instead of whining about it, I'll mess up spawns, go in close or keep enemies out of line of fire by drawing aggro. It's loads of fun when that Krysae sniper is not on top anymore.
