Do you think the devs are in hardcore denial that the ending was terrible, or that they do know?

I would argue that it couldn't go over you head if you hated the ending. At first glance the ending is terrible, but as you start thinking about it, it gets even worse. Like Kotaku said, the more you understand the lore and the ending, the worse the ending gets.

Pretty much sums it up.

I think they've decided to stand by their work, and stop catering to people that will never be happy anyways. Hopefully they're working on some awesome DLC. A smart decision.
Can I take that to mean that if they, in a hypothetical scenario, did change the ending to remove ye olde StarChilde, you would remain satisfied with Mass Effect?

Was it ever confirmed that only those two wrote the ending if so wow that is sad that they didn't bother to get feedback from their team of amazing writers but those two are in denial or have too much pride to admit they were wrongBillyg3453 wrote...
I personally think Casey and Mac are in denial, and that %70+ don't like it and can't do anything about it.
It's pretty clear those two are in some serious denial however.
Drew K. was the one that did ME1 and 2 and then moved to Star Wars MMO.
Thats when Casey H. CHANGED what Drew had in store with the plot by creating his own plot. Thats why the crucible came out of nowhere and why ME2 adds nothing to the overall plot now!
Drew K. had some big plans in store with ME3 but thanks to Casey H. that didnt happen!
I was under the impression that the change in plot in ME3 was due to the original script getting publically leaked. They couldn't then continue with Drew's dark energy storyline and had to rewrite to suit.
If so, I wouldn't blame Casey for that. Well, unless he was the one that left it on a train seat or something....

No they're not in denial. They just have a different opinion on how the endings are/ were received. I loved ME3 for instance, but that's my opinion too.
I'm glad the head writers are happy with what they created while Bioware lays off their employees.

I would tell Bioware how dissapointed I was in a short message, leave the forums and then move on to something else. I wouldn't spend hours every day on here whining about it and telling them to remove the new ending. Hopefully, it will never come to that. I trust that Bioware won't listen to these people.SpamBot2000 wrote...

So why are you here for hours every day telling everyone who didn't like it to shut up?

These people probably only read threads on BSN. If they looked around the internet, they'd find out that the rest of the world has moved on and many people like the endings after the EC.Master Che wrote...

"Everybody that hated it should just move on."
"Here's a poll from people that didn't move on."
The only actual poll I've seen is the Facebook one, and it was simply about expectations of the EC. Bioware likes to skew everything in their own favor, it's called PR. They wrote that poll in a way that it's skewed extremely positive, the same way you're using it in that other thread. They re-posted it on Twitter so they can be like "OMG 90% of people liked the EC"
The EC was made for people who were in the middle. Either they disliked the endings slightly, or already liked the endings at least moderately.
The best representation of like/dislike IMO will be how well the DLC sells.

What the complainers want, is something that would take both money and time. Money and time that could be spent on other stuff.

I have absolutely no expectations that they'll rewrite the endings again. The best case scenario would be them adding some DLC compotents that will alter the endings slightly. Like Leviathan of Dis adding more dialogue with the Catalyst related to the Reapers.

Then you're not really paying attention. There's multiple threads on the first page of this forum alone, where people are asking for new endings / changes to the current endings / a total rewrite.savionen wrote...
I don't see many people on here saying "OMG go rewrite the endings again." They're stating their opinions on the endings.
