I recently bought the NWN complete & tried playing MoW as a Drow then decided that I would rather be a half-Drow but the character editor does not display any of the expansion races or subraces. the options to choose them are there & the character editor works as if you can but no character model is displayed. I tried making my Half-Drow in the original campaign which worked than I attempted to load my Half-Drow into MoW & the game did not display him & crashed as soon as I exited the opening conversation! Can somebody please help?

I'm amazed no one answered this but I since I just bought the complete edition yesterday while it was on sale specifically for MoW and ran into this same problem I figure there may still be others out there that run into this issue. Here's the solution that I found:
From Firek over at www.gog.com
Even if you got the game from another site (I got it at gamersgate) this should work. Follow the instructions and find your main NWN 2 install folder (not the one in My Documents) and go to the Westgate campaign folder mentioned above. Delete the 2da folder and extract the new one from the zip.

Here's the workaround:
http://files.gog.com/support/2da.zip
First, you should open the game's installation directory (default:
C:\\GOG Games\\Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete), go to
\\Campaigns\\Westgate_Campaign\\ and delete the "2da" folder.
Now
extract the contents of the ZIP file i linked abovw, into the
"Westgate_Campaign" folder and try to start the game again. This should
fix the character creation issue.
