I installed my game without any problems the first time but i believe there are some problems with my dvd rom cause it was making a lot of noises during the installation. Anyway i tried to redeem the codes i recieved with my game and did so but ran into lots of problems while trying to install those as did many other people so i decided to uninstall the game and reinstall it. But now i can not install the game. The installation process gets stuck at around 50.9% each attempt. i tried cleaning up the dvd and all that but nothing really helped. I registered my copy of the game here already so I was wondering if there is any official address that i can download the game from so i can skip the whole faulty dvd rom scratching cds beyond reading. Or do i have to buy a new one? I bought the game today so i doubt i ll go and buy another one anytime soon. I hope this issue can be resolved fast cause i ve been hearing a lot of good stuff on this game and dont really want to miss out.

I loaded the game onto my computer, loaded fine. I got the red dragon video and the first graphics of the game started...all the tabs are blank. There are no words so I can't get into the game. I have played with the video settings, looks good, no words. I dont know what else to do. As far as I can tell I meet all the requirements of the game. I turned off the firewall, I reinstalled Microsoft .net framework. Any suggestions?

Preliminary diagnostic information
PCs are not *anything* at all like game console systems. There is almost nothing that is truly "standard" between various branded PCs, making the game developers' jobs very difficult, and resulting in warning labels attached to game boxes for those games that have serious requirements.
In case you have misunderstood how to evaluate your PC compared to that game box label, we have to start from here. Fill it all in.

if you browse to the installation directory and use the daorigins.exe instead of the launcher, does the game run?
