The "New Tints and Shades" is cool. And, as stated above, the Respec Mod is cool. The Winter Forge is cool too.

Too lazy to link for them (you can find them easily here or at the Nexus), but these are the ones I consider essential.

Personal Annoyance Remover (god I wish there was a way to remove the awful flame, ice and lightning effects).

Has anyone made a face exchange utility yet? Or for that matter a way to change your appearance after character creation?

The only issues I've had with any mods are compatibility, such as the various hair/eye color mods.  But, there are usually separate downloads for files to make those other ones play nicely together (for example, a chargenmorphcfg.xml file edited with values for each).

These are also fun:

Obsidians Nobler Noble (for a Human Noble Origin story's immersive feel)

These two will remove the weapon enchantment and the spell enchantment effects you need both to do it.

Erm, I'm going to shamelessly promote my own mod, just click my sig.

A very small sample of features:

- shared potion cooldown

- talent "miss" feedback and item property procs

- debuff stacking from different sources

- better talent progression curve and overall balance, no more disregarding archers and 2-handers

:)

You need :
- Inodil's pocket plane
- Ring of rebirth
- respecialization mod
- stam potion recipe( for melee to be somewhat useful)

You need 2 respec addons because 1 can't respec Shale and dog but you can use anywhere and the other can respec Shale and dog but you can only use in camp.

The pocket plane is the most useful mod out there by far.

Couple of mods I've used/liked:

DA beautification mod- changes the look of a bunch of NPC's and PC's- for the better, for the most part.

Elven Leliana (using this one with my current Dalish Ranger)

Talon of Fenris/ Warden's something- a couple Dar'misu daggers designed for dexterity fighters

Winter Forge- rocks!

Black Templar Armor- used it on one playthrough and loved it.

Rogue Shade Armor- tried it on, looks good, haven't used it in game yet. The bug is that if you remove it from your inventory it constantly respawns.

Helm removal- buggy, at least on my game. I got rid of it but it was cool when it worked.

Oh, and one of the best: No starting abilities.

Allows you to choose all your initial skills/talents regardless of class, so if you want that Rogue-Duelist later in the game you can skip dirty fighting in favor of dual wield to start, and so on.

When you pick up each companion, this mod lets you configure/level them up from Level 1, so if you want to build Alister as a dextrous dual-wielder or Ohgren and a sword and board guy you can do it without having to tolerate a crapload of unwanted skills/talents. Allows you to configure temp members such as Jory, the mage at the tower of Ishal, etc, as well. Great mod.

Check out my mod. I update it regularly (in fact, I'm getting ready to do another update today). Basically it adds random magical items to the game.

I did this because I was getting really, really, really tired of the static itemization on DA:O and it was killing my replay value.  So now what happens is that the game adds a small chance of generating random scaled magical items alongside normal treasure much like Diablo II or Rogue/NetHack (if you're an older gamer like me).

This has really helped my replay value because now I actually enjoy going through areas that I didn't originally like due to the fact that I never know if I am going to pick up a good piece of equipment.

Cheers
