I don't mind having actual discussions with Synthesis supporters.
You are giving them all a bad name

you label all synthesis supporters as tools.  You are giving yourself a bad name.  I've been discussing synthesis in this thread which you all have conveniently ignored due to your irrational biases against me.  Yeah I am done with you fools until next time.

Then why did you bring up reject at all?

Your attempts at derailing the thread are rather pathetic.

I said it was better than reject that is not derailing.  Demonstrating how synthesis is better than reject is not derailing at all it is discussing synthesis and saying how it is a more viable option than reject.  It isn't my fault that all the reject fans got butthurt over it.

It wasn't that big, trying to find anything to insult a person is sad.

So you are ok with contradicting yourself

I haven't contradicted myself, The Quote pyramid wasn't that big when I quote it, and when I do engage at you, it actually makes sense, you try to engage at me by little stupid things that make you look like a fool.

You havn't made any damn sense all day.  All you've done is get angry and then blame me for your lack of control

Im on nobody side. but the other dude makes sense your the one not making any sense. just saying.

Your new neighbor!

And how did they look before being hit by the Synthesis beam?

They were mindlessly killing Asari, Humans, Turians, Krogans, Batarians, Voracha, Volus, and Geth.

Now they either forgot about that and are hated by everyone, or they remember all that and probably want to committ suicide.

As opposed to being hit by the destroy beam. Where they are all permanantely killed (like their original bodies would probably have it) and rid of all Reaper tech forever.

In my opinion, yes. Who are you, the central power, to determine what is best for me?

You're not my parents. You aren't me.

Noted.  I disagree, at least where immunisation is concerned and will leave it at that for now.

Education is justifiably forced upon children to prevent future societal breakdown.
In the same way, Synthesis is justifiably forced upon organics and synthetics to prevent an endless cycle of organic-synthetic wars.

Incorrect analogies. they have been proven to be beneficial to people, synthesis has not.

Besides, that is a violation of an individual's free will in all cases and the decision should inevitably come down to them (or their close relatives if they aren't mature enough to understand such concepts). But that is another debate entirely.

In the epilogue slides, synthesis is shown to be beneficial. Of course, as shown in this and many other threads, many of you do not agree. I think it is more of less the same moral issues we are debating although it is probably wiser to stick to debating fictional plot elements rather than sensitive real life ethics (which encroaches into politics as well).

Notice the title of the thread. it says 'synthesis is what the Reapers want'.

That makes the whole idea of reject completely irrelevant, especially whether synthesis is better..

It was derailing the thread I'm afraid.

Demostration is not equitable to proclamation.

KotorEffect3 wrote...

Synthesis may have it's issues and is questionable but it does have the most interesting epilogue (acknowledging that it's epilogue is interesting doesn't mean I think it is the best choice).  I am a destroy guy myself but I will say this sythesis beats the crap out of refusal.  At least sythesis ends the nightmare of getting reaped.

That is what you said. You brought it up in an irrelevant fashion and continued to berate others who disagreed with you for the next few hours.

Edit: Sorry, had to correct the record.

NOW I'm off to the gym.

Which is why you've been b**ching about Refusal, right?

Synthesis and refusal don't have to be mutualy exclusive topics.  Funny how all the idiots accusing me of derailing threads have been doing it for months with their "endings suck" tirades in threads that had nothing to do with the ending.

These threads are getting ridiculous. Arguing to change to opinion of people who have clearly already finished the game and made the decision based on their own preference is futile.

I honestly can't see why people are still arguing why A is better than B.
It doesn't get us anywhere, we don't learn anything from it, we don't progress. We stagnate.

I'm not going to believe in something which isn't explained/proven to me. That is why when synthesis is shown to be space magic, I do not believe in it's method or effects and look for a more rational explanation. That's why i see brainwashing as the more logical explanation there i I therefore don't see it as 'happy'. Also the fact that i distrust the SC.

The other problem is that I'm not going to simply forget my moral code and substitute it with somebody else's when I'm watching something. Synthesis is very ammoral to me and I'm not going to ignore this fact on a whim.

Umm, in a Synthesis based thread they are. That's kind of the point of a Synthesis thread.

This is true. People will not change their preference.

But you can debate the ethics and outcome of each ending, I.E Synthesis is what the Reapers want

The only thing that amazes me is how you continue to disregard the forum rules of the company you claim to defend.

But fine, you've flooded the topic with irrelevancy just as you wanted. Hope you're happy.

QFT.  What is the point of crapping one someone else's ending anyway?

So my point stands, the Synthe-beam did not add the robotic parts or mind-control them.

Synthesis is an abomination and I fail to see the reason lots of people try to defend it. Would you rather have a young Goa'uld implanted in your body, and serve the Goa'ulds rather than die free ? Look at the Jaffas, there were those who thought the Goa'ulds were Gods, and those who saw the truth, and fought against these so called "Gods". It's not the perfect example, but it matches... in a way.

P.S. @Heeden You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Reapers, not join them! Bring balance to the Galaxy, not leave it in darkness! You were my brother, Heeden! I loved you.

No *brohoof* for you mister!

Yes it made them part synthetic, using Shepard's template, but it didn't. Because "organic energy!". Sigh.

Then I think I misread your previous statement. I thought you were saying that in Synthesis, you did not see any Reaper brainwashed people, which is untrue because we see the Husks regain their sapience.

I am not the ones who turned this into a "let's whine about KotorEffect 3" whinefest.  I came in here to discuss how synthesis is a viable option.  One of three viable options.

Look at the three endings, tell me which one includes the most Love and Tolerance, then you take a good, long look at yourself, mister, and tell me why these beings have to die when Friendship is (Space)  Magic.

Besides, everyone knows Synthesis will make everything at least 20% cooler.

just throwing this out there, control doesn't do much bad and at least you don't change anyone,. although it is a police state kinda

other note destroy isn't all bad,  i mean machines don't have emotions so i get where your coming from about the love but there is tolerence in it B)
