I always think that those who want a DLC featured around Romance would really Enjoy the Clannad game, or any other Japanese visual novel for that matter

A lot of gamers are lonely.....and Bioware capitalized on that well.

ME 2 had character centered missions for each of the squadmates. I think what we're asking for here is less out of lonlieness and more out of a desire for the same thing for the VS. Basically a chance to explore their background more, especially what they did between ME1 and ME3. Which is important, because in the case of Ash, we know nothing.

It wouldn't be exclusively for those who have romanced the VS, though it would, ideally, have special dialouge. And maybe it would fix some things and restore cut dialouge for the Ash romance.

I would buy it, most likely all. :) More content would be a welcome.

Restoring the VS romance would be my number one priority but James. I would love to have him as a LI. Miranda to have more content would be good.

I'm pretty ambivalent of supporting any bioware thing that comes out, but all these dlcs I'll buy in a heartbeat (especially the VS one). Bioware's characters and their characterization mean a lot more to me than plot anyway (although I'm still a sucker for plot).

Love it, from top to bottom, really good ideas! I especially love inviting them to move into Shepard's cabin, I have no idea why that was removed, especially since you can rekindle the romance with VS so early on in the game (not very early on, but about halfway through... for an ME game that's early!)

I'd buy all of them, just to see the differences... too bad we won't get any.<_<

I like it. For me a dlc with sam and femshep looking for sams parents. Have a scene with sam and femshep on citadel and give femshep the option to buy that 6000 credit toothbrush for sam

I highly doubt they're ever going to do it. The fixation of the fanbase on the romances is probably really embarrassing for Bioware.

(No offense, because I'd buy it. I'm just saying.)

Would love to see the VS's surviving relatives in the Citadel and get different sets of convo between a friend!Shep and romanced!Shep..
Heck, or maybe even an option to bring any squaddies when walking around the Citadel and have those auto dialogues like back in ME2.

I am a bit pessimistic though, after seeing what they did with Thane (no acknowledgement of romance), Jacob (so terrible that I couldn't even say anything about it), Tali's face and since we're fighting Cerberus in ME3 the whole time I was surprised we didn't get to recruit Miranda.

I'm not sure many dog tags could survive a nuke.

Since we're there for a mission anyway, maybe placing a memorial could be part of it, though.

I like that idea of going to Virmire with the VS and placing a monument. It'd be like DA:O's Return to Ostagar and ME2's Normandy Crash all in one. Only difference is that Virmire was a tactical victory and not a defeat.

I support this DLC idea!!!

Kaidan talks about his biotic students alot, as well as his family. A DLC that expands on this would make me a very happy Kaidan fan! :]

Since it got mentioned a lot:

Priority: Investigate Cerberus mission on Virmire.

-= Unlocked by =-

- Udina Coup done
- Geth/Quarian War solved (at that point you should also have the VS date available if VS is alive/recruited)

-= Overview / Briefing =-

Admiral Hackett learns Cerberus troops are investigating the ruins of Saren's base on Virmire for more information dealing with indoctrination. He orders the Normandy to deal with the troops and the VS requests to be part of the team.
Originally, Hackett planned to send the VS to Virmire if s/he is assigned to the Crucible team.

-= Mission =-

Part I - Landing Zone
Fight through the rearguard of Cerberus and try to get access to the Main Complex
The VS will mention the sacrifice of the other one and stops for a minute of silence.

Part II - Main Complex, upper levels
Investigate the facility and find a way to the lower levels of the complex.
The VS will remember the moments with the other one, you also may see some flashbacks.

Part III - Main Complex, lower levels
Secure the lower levels and copy any data dealing with Indoctrination.
The status of the VS is important for the last part of the mission, resulting in more intel about indoctrination and the Complex itself.

Part IV - Back on the Normandy
Debriefing with the VS and the third squadmember.

-= Outcome =-

Depending on the status of the VS, you get different levels of war assets:
Romanced: 50 war assets
Non-Romanced: 35 war assets
Not-used on mission 25 war assets
Dead: No war assets

VS romanced, imported from ME1, loyal:
A second mission gets unlocked, basically dealing with VS' family
Also a second date is available on the Citadel, resulting in a romantic moment with the VS.
You can invite the VS to stay permanently in your cabin.
The memorial wall can be clicked for a minute of silence for the fallen one on Virmire, the VS is with Shepard.

VS romanced, imported from ME1, not loyal OR fresh romance in ME3:
You get a second mission, dealing with the VS' family, but no second date.
You can invite the VS to stay permanently in your cabin.
The memorial wall can be clicked for a minute of silence for the fallen one on Virmire, the VS is with Shepard.

VS non-romanced:
No special treatment, however, depending on the lines you picked in the mission, a deep friendship is available, if you like to go down that path.
The memorial wall can be clicked for a minute of silence for the fallen one on Virmire, the VS is with Shepard, non-romantic context.

VS not picked for the mission:
If you had a romance, it's gone by now. Not picking the VS offends him or her since it was his/her wish you didn't respect.
If the VS was not part of your crew at this point, s/he will write you a letter telling you did well and honored the dead one.
The memorial wall can be clicked for a minute of silence for the fallen one on Virmire, the VS is not with you.

VS dead:
The memorial wall can be clicked for a memorial scene where Shepard remembers the sacrificed one on Virmire. The scene gets extended if the VS got killed and was not angry at Shepard in the Udina coup - in that case, Shepard is remembering the VS too.

VS romance mission that takes place on Virmire? I'm in, no matter the cost.
And ALL of ME2 LI's deserve way more on screen time. The way they appeared in ME3 just isnt enough.
They were so important in ME2 and then poof, CAMEOS! Not cool =<

Looks fine, but it's critical that the mission provide an opportunity to learn about the Virmire Survivor's activities between ME1 and ME3, as well - especially with Ash.

A VS DLC set on Virmire would be very compelling, but one thing that brings me back to a DLC that would involve meeting the Virmire Survivor's post ME1, pre ME3 unit is the fact that it would better allow us to gain new info on their service history.

So, yeah, not sure which I want. Guess their old unit could have been sent to Virmire first, but that seems like too much of a coincidence to be possible. Two alternatives would be, I suppose, to ensure that a mission on Virmire somehow opens up dialouge on the VS' past, and maybe go into more detail in the second date or in a cabin discussion back on the ship. OR, since LotSB took place on two different planets, start the VS DLC elsewhere (rescuing the VS old squad) and recover intel that leads back to Virmire. Again - almost too much of a coincidence to be true, but I think it works better than just cramming everything on to Virmire.

Just a few words before I start with my maybe lengthy posting:

My little DLC idea is a bit related to the [NEW SURVEY!!] ME3 Romance-Related DLC: Petition for Improvements, Side Missions, & More Content

Although I support this petition, I don't fully like the idea of a generic romance DLC. It's simply not possible to cover ALL romances and improve them all without running into budget issues. Every romance may need up to 2000 - 3000 lines of new dialogue - with Liara, Kaidan, Ashley, Jacob, Miranda, Thane, Jack, Garrus, Tali, Cortez, Traynor, Allers, Kelly PLUS Vega and other new LIs you can -really- easily have MORE lines than Mass Effect 1 had!
That's pretty much impossible to put into one DLC that shouldn't cost more than 10 - 20 Dollars.

Therefore I rather split up the Romance DLC into smaller ones. Those smaller DLCs can have "shared content", some basic features all romances need, like being able to invite your LI to the cabin, but every DLC also should have some special stuff dedicated to the displayed LIs.

Woahwoahwoah Image IPB.

Not jumping on you here, but what you're posting is exactly the kind of thing that's come up in that thread too. A lot of players are interested in DLC that expands on and addresses the ME2 characters (and the VS characters as well, I assure you ) romances in a story based context.

That said... there's some great ideas in here. Image IPB

I love these ideas. BioWare could name their price for a Jack romance DLC and I'd buy it.

Sadly I just don't think there's enough of an audience willing to pay to make BioWare's effort on a DLC like this worthwhile.

If Bioware make Romance DLC. I want they add some dialogue/scene for MaleShepard to tell his feeling about Kaidan since ME1 - Virmire and/or ME2 - Horizon
