Haha if you really were the good player that you really think you are you wouldnt have had any problems... I rarely play infiltrators but decided to play around with them after the tac cloack nerf and srsly they are still as good as they were before. I never get the last evolution of cloack and i still pwn with sniper or shotgun infiltrators(even though i havent played with a sniper infiltrator in like 2 months....) Only difference is that you cant run up to an objective surrounded by a mob of enemies...
And whats that about the bw being rly weak?! I top gold matches with 100k + points with a turian soldier with bw....

I don't have a problem running around and getting the objectives. The trick here though is that the other people on your team need to know not to follow you around, and to draw all the enemies to where they are.
I also like to do the pizza deliveries with an infiltrator. You can cloak and run to the object, and then HOPEFULLY the other people on the team have enough of the enemies distracted so you can walk slowly to the LZ. Then you can cloak and run the hell out of there. Works really well if you have a half-competent team with you.

You can almost hit for 1200% of your weapons damage (Without the sniper evolution! really,) making any complaining about one shots moot.
(The highest base damage multiplier you can get for a gun with all the headshot bonuses is 2.95 The highest headshot multiplier is close to 3.9. With the sniper bonus on tactical cloak, you get to multiply all that by 1.25. Thats a healthy 1500% damage multiplier if I am right? In fact, it may be higher depending on whether or not I interpreted one of Fagnans statements correctly.)
