Disruptor and Warp ammo

If disruptor ammo sets up tech bursts, should warp ammo set up bio explosions? :happy: Thoughts?

It allready adds the most damage of any ammo power. It definately does not need any buffs, and that would be a ridiculous one.

I thought warp ammo had a chance to possibly prime targets. Maybe not?

They can't realistically change in-game mechanics but I like the idea. More damage on lifted targets is just stupid.

It'd be OP. I've wished for the same though. Imagine throw spam mixed with warp ammo!
I guess you can get tech bursts this way using disruptor ammo, too, huh? I think I'll try this tonight on a HSe.

In any case, since BEs have the force component, you'd basically rape everything. Falcon for area warp effect, plus area reave = total destruction.

how can you be sure is they don't show any stats on what it does exactly? and since it is "warp" ammo I think it should add a warp effect you can detonate.

AP rounds = pierce though light cover
Disrupter - allow TBs to be set up
Incindary- make people panic
Cryo rounds - freeze targets
warp round - no special effect?

Probably unless you're using a piercing/shredder mod on top of warp ammo then it would be irrelevant 

Warp ammo 3 adds 35% more damage against ALL targets though, same with ap ammo but AP is a bit better vs armor. Level 4 ammo probably adds 45 and 40% more damage + some extra armor weakening but no one has managed to get aa hold of those stats yet so I don't know for sure.

To OP giving it the ability to prime would make it overpowered. Warp ammo+Reave or Throw would make biotics broken.

Maybe if warp ammo would act as a primer without damage or force multipliers or have low ones?

If Warp Ammo primed targets for Biotic Explosions, then you would definately see a clear nerf to either Warp Ammo or Biotic Explosions. If BEs were as strong as they are now, with a very strong Ammo power making them very common, then that would just make the WA+BE combination grossly overpowered.

Ironically, this is not a major problem with Tech Bursts because they are fairly weak and very easy to trigger, regardless. Disruptor ammo is not god's gift to an ammo-consuming player, either.

Yeah I saw it. It doesnt have lv4 powers and is not sure about some powers. "Extra damage may not be applied to shield and barrier?"

Neither ammo type is better than the other. AP and warp ammo add bonuses in different ways. AP gives a flat + damage increase, while warp adds a percent increase. This means that AP ammo is more effective with rapid fireing weapons like an AR, while warp is better with slow fireing weapons like shotguns.

Haven't seen any other spread sheets than that one. Also I'm pretty sure warp and AP ammo does extra damage against everything, sure seems like it after using it for 4 months or so.

Never said either one was better, they're both very good. 

Both add a certain damage % though. Warp's added damage is 5% higher. 

They work differently against armor, obviously.

You need to compare the damage between Tech Bursts and Biotic Explosions though. Besides, Tech Bursts are already insanely common. As long as there is a class that uses abilities that can detonate TBs around, and you are fast at priming targets, then there will be bursts galore. The problem is that they are not very strong, but they are spamable. That is sort of TBs niche, so disruptor ammo is quite frankly very unnecessary. The only time I use it is when I *know* I won't have someone detonating them, and those situations are god damn rare. :P

I think it's safe to say that each ammo is good at what it does while  Warp Ammo just exceeds in a more overall damage % increase.
