Title says it all.

I got it during odd moments in the game as things load, which was fine (kinda), but as the game progressed it got worse and worse. It reached it's peak -specifically during Priority: Earth- as soon as Harbinger lands; where the framrates drops to about 1/2 FPS, and froze the entire game on me once. The new scene is almost entirely unwatchable, I felt like I was watching screen shots - which is seriously frustrating since it looks amazing!

After that, the game ran normally with the usual scenes, with one or two freezes in when one of the new scenes load.

Anyone else having this trouble?
Any help that can be given would be vastly appreciated.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for all the hard work Bioware~

Given I don't have much of your playtime per session info I can only give you general advice... However, it may not be as much fun to do so, but I suggest you stop playing after an hour and let the ps3 cool down. You don't have to set a timer, just estimate.

I've heard from other games with similar issues that if you can cool your system down in other ways it works better as well. One person actually put their ps3 in a fridge for a bit and then played...crazy I know, but they said it worked a lot better. I wouldn't recommend that cause it could end badly in so many ways...oh look someone poured the milk into my ps3....how wonderful!

Well, I can't remember how long I'd had the PS3 running for before it reached the EC scenes, but I did do a solid run from Thessia all the way to the end without switching it off, so probably a few hours. I'll play it again today and report back if it's still the same despite the 13 hour cooldown period~

Thank for the advice!

Since all new content from the EC is loaded from the HDD and you don't have this problem with the rest of the game it might be worth a try to use the rebuild database feature from the PS3:
http://www.ps3blog.n...-recovery-menu/
Sometimes files on the HDD got corrupted and this can effect how well games run. The restore file system-option can sometimes help as well.
You won't loose your data (installs, saves, downloads) with this, only messages and playlists etc are deleted.
I use this feature every couple of month to keep my PS3 running smooth ^_^
