A Dark horse comic book to be precise which most likely be 4 comic books released a month each. Very exciting news which is exactly what many speculated including myself that eventually the Omega DLC would come out.

so they were at comic con. they were at a panel, where people gathered for announcements, and they told people "we won't say anything here, why would we? just buy the comic book, people."
edit: i read the whole thing. they talked about the Extended Cut, Earth multi dlc and shared some writer's tales.
concerning new single player content, they showed one screenshot. then, the end.
it's difficult to accept the changes that are developing inside the Bioware guys.

I read the details of the feedback of the SDCC (http://www.newsarama...ent-future.html).
SPOIL
The main issue I have is when the breath scene is considered only like a "beacon of hope" and could be "a last gap before death". One day, it's white (he/she survives...), the day after, it's black (... or maybe not). Hard to understand correctly what BW has in mind.

A shame there weren't any really big announcements regarding SP DLC, but the fact Courtenay Taylor was on the panel suggests maybe she is going to appear more in future! I don't know why else she'd show up when Jack had such a small role in ME3 and wasn't a hit with the fans in ME2 (I thought she was the best character in the series though, so the potential for more Jack is fine by me)

I must say, I'm disappointed also. I couldn't be at SDCC (impossible for me), and only seen the transcript, so I'm waiting for a video of the whole panel, and hope that it'll be a little more pleasing.
And I understand that maybe I'm a bit spoiled with last years media campaign with ME3 and SWTOR where Bioware was very much at every convention and they were by large. And I understand that it's expensive so after the release and no immediate content to promotion, they lay down a little.
So I do understand a lot and didn't expect such huge appearance like last year (not that I wouldn't like it
). But its hard to swallow that even the panel they hold was kind of shallow. With the writers I was hoping some lore insight, some mention about the upcoming content dlc and comic alike (or a new novel - I can hope). Some mention about the movie. I fail to see how would damage the IP and the developement if they speak about what DLCs are they working on or have plans for (no concrete details or release date just plans), or how would they imagine a story after the war (I really have hard time to see the possible continuation compatible with all three endings).
I just can't belive that Bioware don't have at least brainstorm plans with the future of the IP, outside the ME3 DLCs, what - I guess - they already planned out at release.
Or maybe I'm just way too much in love with a sci-fi universe, and too naive to imagine, that the people involved making it are like it too. Maybe it was time to wake up, I'm too old for this kind of things anyway. At my age its a big thing that I can enjoy a game and that's all.
(edit: I'm not complaining about the ending, with the Extended Cut it's just great for me. Nor the plotholes some people whining about since I can answer almost all of them at least for me - I did and tired doing again and again in various forums. But I just can't have enough of the universe and feels a little disappointing that I learned almost nothing. And knowing that I'll never have the chance to directly chat with any of the writers, this is all I can hope of... - damn this is depressing... it's really time to get myself together and reject the fanboy from my system... unhealthy.)

With the writers I was hoping some lore insight
The panel time was actually pretty tight timewise - there were four of us up there, and we tried to make sure everyone had a chance to talk about their area of expertise. We were more free to chat about lore stuff at the BioWare base, which was a place across the street from the con where fans hung out and could ask us what they wanted to know at a more leisurely pace. (And they did! I really enjoyed that part, it was great to see everyone who came out.)

Whoa, I'm honored (seriously).
I hope a video of the panel will be more satisfying than the plained text trascript. And I know about the BioWare base just it's impossible for me to attend an event like that so I'm dependent what is shared on the net.
But thank you, really. Didn't think that anyone will read my little depression-whine. ^^°
EDIT:
Thank you for the video! As I hoped, MUCH better. Thanks again

Thank you for posting ME panel recording! I didn't even hope to see it. The video quality is very good, I only wish Rob Blake took care of audio tracking (kidding, lol). These panel videos makes me always realize that the staff is such a cute bunch of nerds . It has "+ 5 Paragon" effect on me.
It's a shame there aren't more taped discussions about their own opinions considering story, future and such, at booths or wheresoever. /end of unburdening
