I am having problems playing ME 3. When I get to the mission where you have to run to the giant beam in londen my game crashes and I am unable to play any further. Trying to load the save file also crashes the game. I regret installing rhe EC DLC since I can't play beyond this mission and see how my ME 3 story ends.

Don't take this wrong...it works for me. My point is that it is possible for the DLC to work. So...that leaves something messed up for your particular situation. Often that is a corrupted or incomplete file. Does the machine itself crash or lock up? Or is it just the game? This could be a clue as to whether it is a hardware accelerated component, or something else. For the most part, I think the downloaded parts are likely graphics and sound...you can't run the graphics without hardware acceleration, but the sound might be (depends on drivers). Just thinking you may be able to go into your control panel and drivers, and look for sound...TEMPORARILY disable sound driver, and try without sound (this would suck, but it is for the purpose of testing). See if it still crashes. Results may make it easier to figure it out. In any case, I don't know how to re-download this game, but the help at EA can tell you how to at least delete the temp files (sometimes the sound or video might be generated out of a cache and if the cache is bad but the files generating it are not, it will self-fix by deleting).

The only thing that crashes is the game itself. I've tried to disable the sound drivers and see how the game reacts to that but it still crashes.

In Origin right click Mass Effect 3 and try to repair the install.

I've done that like a million times and it didn't seem to help, but i will do it again for the sake of seeing the EC ending.
Edit: Still wont work after repairing.
