I thought I would post this just in case anyone has had the same problem as I have. I have had two bouts of my xbox displaying a disc read error when there was no apparent problem. The first time I returned my disc to EB games and got a new one. I was still getting the disc read error. I have heard people saying that it's a problem with the xbox system reading the game...BS. So what I have done both times is to first of all delete all dlc, clear cache and follow the instructions for the "resante blackhole fix" online. You have to mess with your gamer tag a bit to remove the corrupt files (thanks EA servers) but if it's between that and not playing ME3 I would give it a go. So, hopefully this will help you end your frustration.

Hey bro, i too having the same problem. I just keep getting disc read error whenever i play me 3. it started after i downloaded their very 1st patch. i've been trying to do the resante fix but apparently, i unable to transfer my gamer profile into the hard disk. it keep saying theres a problem performing this action or something like that whenever i try moving my gamer profile to the hard disk
