A House Divided.
This is a good short video from awhile back that I think has a lot of relevance now. It is about Legion's loyalty mission in Mass Effect 2, and the way the narrative and mechanics of the level create something special. In the video, you'll see a lot of parallels between the design of the ME3 ending and the design of this mission. You'll also notice that the ending to Mass Effect 3 corrects the one narrative/mechanical complaint that these commentators have.
It may also give a lot of much needed insight into why the endings were chosen the way they were, and why a completely moral ending does not belong in Mass Effect. I bring this up because of the recent influx of "such-and-such ending is genocide/eugenics/mind control/betrayel ect. I believe that is the point.

I (think I) agree with you, but he does point out that there are many different ways to approach it. The specific interpretation isn't the crux of his argument anyways. In fact, his argument is actually dependent on there being different interpretations.Icesong wrote...

Narrator would make a good Salarian voice actor.

Trying to create an ending that was supposed engurage debate purely based on on peoples viewpoints and different angles of philosophy and morale was, in my opinion, a huge misstake from Bioware.
A debate like that will never end well, or rather end at all. It will always be an infected debate with lots of passive agressive posts, replies and insults.
If Bioware hoped to split the fanbase then they at least succeded with that part of the ending.
I guess congratulations is in order?

That confuses people who post on this board with the whole player base.
