Not trying to insult you. I was talking about Javik, that's one reason not to like him: he's a troll. Personally, that's what I love about his character.

I take offense at anyone who uses the word troll even if they're using it against an actual troll.

And I take offense to people who refer to me with an informal term to help them get their point across. We're not friends, so don't call me 'bro'.

Of course, until now, I was going to keep that to myself.

Makes much more sense than an organic Prothean sitting around for 50,000 years with no apparent power source, on a planet that should already have been heavily excavated after the Beacon was found, who just happens to turn up in the middle of a Reaper invasion, while everyone should be more concerned about saving their lives, instead of digging up old, rightfully dead bodies.

He adds absolutely nothing to the story other than, "Look I'm a Prothean! Cool!!!1 And I'm arrogant!! Haha. You see? That's funny. You weren't expecting that were you?"

It was glorious, chaotic, alive.

Someone explain to me, why Javik is on your ship. And not, say, in a government lab, or advising Hackett on Reaper tactics, or doing anything useful in the least bit?

He serves absolutely no purpose. He's completely out of place. The whole last surviving Prothean thing is so trite. He's a completely one-dimensional character. He's a Easter Egg, no more. No less. Except that you have to pay for him.

I always make sure, when I do recruit him, that he touches that shard, so we can finally fix this last Prothean nonsense.

Which is why my canon involves Shep, Garrus, Wrex, and Javik traveling the galaxy trolling people and getting into massive fights.

Honestly, Javik was and still is my favorite squadmate. Like another poster said, he's refreshing because he's the only one that doesn't kiss your ass because you're "Shepard". He's a realist, and it's great to have a realist crush the dreams of an optimist squadmate.
