Does anyone else not recruit Javik, even though you have the DLC?

I mean... this isn't even a GOOD troll job.
I'm ashamed that people are responding to it.
Trolling must be the word you use when you disagree with someone but actually have nothing worthwhile to say.
I have literally not used Javik again since my first playthrough, and I'm on my 5th now.
At one point in the game Javik was intended to be the catalyst, but they dropped the plot.
Now hes just an aditional squadmate, providing closer and corrects what we knew about the proteans.
Diana Allers is the only out of place character.
Whats your problem with peasants? You think peasants are poor?

Sorry a news reporter on the ship is much more in place than a rightfully dead 50,000 year old Prothean.Grubas wrote...

"So who's our 7th squadmate going to be"?
"I don't know. Good question."
"Hmmmmmm....I was thinking. Let's just throw in a Prothean. He'd be like a Commander Shepard. Only 50,000 years old. And he'd be really snarky."
"Yeah, man. Great idea! I was gonna say Miranda, Jack, Thane, Samara, Jacob, Zaeed, or any of the other ME2 crew that we didn't put in. But this Prothean guy which no one asked for sounds perfect!"

So you spent money on something you don't use? Do you like burning money or something?
I'm not some peasant. I have plenty of money to spend on things I don't use.
I take offense in people using the term "some peasant".

I agree with you, I don't have the DLC, I know little about it....but the protheans have been extinct for thousands of years, and nobody even knew how the looked like...so not sure what gimmik did they use to come up with 1 survivor...and I probably don't even want to know...sometimes less IS more

War is an atrocity committed in the name of survival. It is a lesson I wish I had never learned.
It was the kind of statement I wasn't expecting from Javik and caused me to take a step back and think about the character. Like all relationships, real or the fake ME kind, they only work if you put in the time and make an effort to understand your counterpart's point of view.

Why else would he be DLC?
$
But seriously though, Javik was simply a Renegade, the first truly Renegade companion. You might not have liked him because your Shepard wasn't Paragon. Now you know what it feels to be on board of a ship with someone of different moral code.
I don't like him as a person, but I appreciate his character.

While I do find his presence contrived to the point of straining my suspension of disbelief, without him the ME3 squad is so hideously dull with a bunch of goodie two-shoes who sycophanitcally worship Shepard that I find him quite refreshing. He also doesn`t lose any points for being better written than 95% of the ME3 cast.
I wouldn't say that he is better written than most of the ME3 cast, but he is a nice change from the rest of the cast. He is the only one that Shepard has to earn his respect.

Javik is as racist as Ashley, yet people love him for some reason.
Kinda galling to defend this Disk Locked Charater, but this kind of kneejerk reactions seem so misguided that guess I'll have to say something. If we take the attitudes towards alien species as a stand-in for real world "racial" attitudes, do you think the point might have something to do with understanding where these kind of attitudes come from, instead of just labeling them "POLITICALLY UNACCEPTABLE" or monstrous, and thus gaining some insight into how to counter them with reasoned argument?

If you don’t like him then don’t use him but stop saying Javik is not an interesting character as it’s not true.

I also like that he is a bit misunderstood. He being from a time where all he knew was war and being introduced to a way of life fifty thousand years ahead of his own time.
I normally bring him along in missions where killing a reaper is inevitable, because in my mind he deserves to see them die lol. I also like how he grows throughout the story. He comes to terms with how civilization co-exist with each other. I also like the fact that he ends up respecting Shepard in his/her fight for freedom from the Reaper invasion. They are both warriors and that is their way of life.
That is just my opinion. I got my DLC with the Collector's Edition so...I just wish the mission had been a bit longer, maybe added a little more story and lore with it as well. I seriously think it could have been a mind blowing DLC to be honest. I do feel it fel a bit short though, especially since how much the DLC cost to others that didn't get the Collector's Edition. It definitely was not worth the price in my opinion.

Please tell me where and when I labeled them "politically unacceptable" and "monstrous". Because I really want to see those statements.
Perhaps, I was just saying that if you dislike Ashley for being racist then you should understand Javik isn't really different?
And about gaining some insight on how to counter them: you don't need to do that. EDI does it in-game when Javik goes to the AI core and starts the "machines can't evolve because they're machines" argument.
