an undetermined amount has passed between the cycles, and they always end the same - war
synthesis is the ultimate solution.
interlinked minds like geth, a golden age of neverending euphoria..
it doesnt have to be the "happy" ending.
i have viewed the other endings, and i like synthesis...
not because its got the sunshining, but the comments made by EDI are great...
i feel like it was everything the reaper creators ( i think of them as similar to the group of prothean scientists on the last planet from Me1) intended originally, but it wasnt possible because human and machine had to exist more cycles to develop a basis of understanding, as shown to us in this game as over half you crew being half machine... its evident that society especially in this ficticious time needs machines to survive, without there would be no crew, no mission, no squadmates. lets review
shepard - obvious half machine, stated by starchild
garrus- partially robot, but only due to war injuries
jack- infused with biotics plates
zaeed - same as garrus
joker and edi- full organic, full machine, in love
miranda- basically an android, forever seeking to understand her psycho father
legion- no explanation necessary
tali - all quarians are basically half machine
the illusive man hides his half machine self from you and uses holograms until the end b/c he didnt want you to know

i dont want to waste anymore room but you get my point.

All the endings are "good"

Apart from reject, the only one where the human Reaper is created

Interesting thought, but explanation is required as to how Reaper's store reaped civilizations as orange goo.

considering its mostly a sci-fi definition, you may be right.

the definiton of android has definitely been redefined in the last 50 years because there are actual robots that serve functions that could be considered that of an android...

the definition i am referring to is the general video game interpretation. a robot that looks like a human

please dont make me bring up more than one sentence about star trek.
thats what i mean by android. of course miranda is highly advanced

Synthesis is a violation of all life, and it spits on every being that sacrificed everything to fight the Reapers.
Like all evil, it wears the face of good to spread it's vile propaganda.

It is the worst, most hideous thing you could ever do. You use Jack as an example? JACK? Someone who was experimented on AGAINST HER WILL, who tattooed herself to cover up the scars just so she could stop being reminded of how they violated her every single day? Who suffers for it constantly?
Jack is the poster-child of why synthesis is wrong. It doesn't matter if they made her "better". They did it without her consent!

oh very much serious.. you get forced to make a decision that should be left to gods...
i would say no war and no death is a pretty unselfish choice.

Synthesis rewrites every living thing in the name of peace and utopia...
It's ethically indistinct from killing them...

It's essentially rewriting the heretics on a massive scale...

And in the end it all comes back to..

"Is not submission preferable to extinction?"

what was done to jack was painful torture against a child... experimentation and explotation of human limits.
synthesis isnt any of those things.

NOT choosing synthesis?

I disagree. Actually...I think it's quite the opposite.
Who are we to make that kind of decision to turn everyone into bio-mechanical beings?

It is exactly that. The philosophy is the same. Enhancement for the sake of enhancement.
No consent. No power to say no. Do you honestly think Jack herself would see the difference? I think not.

That is not evolution. Look up what evolution is.
This is forced artificial enhancement. It's not what the creators strived for. All they wanted was peace. What they got was an insane AI that perverted it's own directives and betrayed them.

Even if they DID want this, who are THEY to impose anything on the current species.

Jack: Wow. Great choices. Genocide or brainwashing. If you screwed with my head. Made me nod and smile at everything... I'd rather you blew my head off. Let me die as me.

there is a difference between the word evolution and darwinism.
i didnt say it was the theory of evolution.
i state it as a transition.
