This is rarely discussed.

1. Isn't the recovery of the Urn will make Chantry more strong than they are?
- They will exploit the discovery and strengthen their shackles on mages
- Many will convert to Chantry religion
- They have more influence all over Thedas, not only because of the discovery but the "miracle" the ash give

2. If the Urn is destroyed it is remain a myth and the Chantry have no basis of their belief.
- many will lost faith in Chantry religion because they provide no proof
- many will question about Andraste existence and thus questioning the whole religion and what Chantry do
- the Chantry remain as an organization of religious bigots who love to oppress mages out of their superstition

In DA2, we see the Mages rebel and the Chantry fall, the Qun religion have influence the people, but this Sacred Ashes thingies don't count at all.

So, what Sacred Ashes role in DA3? Does it bring significant in Templar vs Mage war? Give any significant to the whole things if it discovered or destroyed?

What would be the import save from Origin take effects on DA3? Or the game just assume the Urn is discovered or the Urn have no significant at all?

Edit : 3. What if Kolgrim and his cult survive?
- sure they will become more powerful
- they must give an impact on the religion

Contact with the Guardian and evidence of Andraste and her followers from soon after her death might undermine the Chantry's hold.

In my last Origin ending (finished it 2 days ago), it says that rumors of the Ashes appeared, but they were not in the Temple when some people went looking. The Chantry also denied they existed. In other word, the Ashes are missing and the Chantry claims they never existed in the first place (Brother Genitivi was alive in that playthrough).

I suspect that the "Chantry" decided to hide the discovery, because their agenda isn't really to promote the teaching of Andraste...

There are many epilogue about Sacred Ashes, i wonder what it will effect DA3?

http://dragonage.wik...logue_(Origins)

- If The Warden allowed Brother Genitivi to mount an expedition to the Urn, but did not kill the High Dragon, the Urn disappears without a trace and falls into myth once more.

- If The Warden allowed Brother Genitivi to mount an expedition to the Urn, and killed the High Dragon, the temple becomes a mecca for pilgrims.

- If The Warden killed Brother Genitivi, and killed the High Dragon, The Chantry dismiss the rumors of the Urn ever being found.

- If The Warden killed Brother Genitivi, but did not kill the High Dragon, the Chantry announces the discovery of the ashes, but the dragon will eventually get tired of pilgrims and will go on a rampage that will destroy the temple and possibly the ashes, as they are never found, while the dragon looks for a new haven.

- If The Warden defiled the Sacred Ashes for Kolgrim, Brother Genitivi announces discovery of the Ashes, drawing enormous attention from scholars. Expeditions to the ruins found nothing and several years later his work is declared fiction. He commits suicide. The Dragon appears by winter, rampaging across the countryside, rumors are heard of it being worshiped as Andraste by cultists, and efforts to find the lair or the ashes ultimately fail as the cultists rapidly gain converts.

- If The Warden defiled the Sacred Ashes for Kolgrim but then kills him and does not kill the High Dragon, rumours about the Urn of Ashes involvement in curing Arl Eamon spread and people begin to mount expeditions to find it. After finding nothing but a High Dragon and many failed attempts to slay the Dragon, the expeditions are decided to be too dangerous to continue. The Dragon eventually goes west to find a new Haven but goes on a rampage beforehand leaving nothing but ruins of the temple. Later expeditions and digs in the ruins found nothing. Some believe that the Urn is still in the ruins while some say it was destroyed, others wonder if it ever existed at all, the Urn falls into myth once more.

- If Brother Gentivi did not come with the Warden while killing The Cult, then the Urn will disappear, even if you killed the High Dragon and allowed pilgrimage.

This is the ending I got.

So one of them actually allows for pilgrims to go there. Interesting.

Andraste ruin is important, it's existence or non-existence determine the fate of one of the major religion in Thedas. I can't accept if it is insignificant.

Sacred Ashes fate MUST have significant in DA3, it failed to show significance in DA2 in which a disappointment.

Well, everybody talking about Andraste, The Maker and such things, but the ruin discovered or not discovered, or discovered but destroyed have no impact?
