Actually just ranting because I had 3 really bad PUGs this a.m.

I was in need for some JEPs so I figured a FBWGG would be perfect.  Decent looking group with no iniltrator but gave it a try.  Wave 3 comes and it's activate the pylons.  I head out, no one follows.  I get two before I go down.  Everyone stays in the room behind the consoles for the next minute.  I quit.

I still have time for a silver.  Wave 3 comes.  It's the pizza delivery.  Me and another guy deliver one while the other two are off making a beer run I guess.  The second pizza never finds a way home.

I still have time for a bronze.  There's no way that this will fail.  Wave 10.  Pizza delivery.  I run to get it, no one follows.  A phantom gets me on the way to the lz.  Another guy dies going to get the pizza while the other two Krysae everything but what's around the pizza.  The pizza rots in the sun as time expires.

In the end I wasted more consumeables and got about 10k in credits.  Good times.

If nobody goes for the objective with you, just forget about it entirely. I got tired of nobody going for objectives so I usually wait it out (for the nodes objective anyway) until someone decides to get it.

Ah Loladan79! You can never give people the benefit of the doubt. People are dumb, people are stupid. People are incompetent. Also fbwgg without an infiltrator? Perfect opportunity to be said infiltrator and at least have a bit of control over the match.

Before anyone says anything, I am a realist. I believe in the realities of situations. The reality is that you shouldn't even bother with fbwgg unless you're the salarian engineer/justicar leading a biotic squad or the infiltrator.

That's just my opinion however and you can do whatever you want to do, Loladan79.

On the other hand it can also be very exciting in a pug. I had just re-specced my QME and I wanted to take him out for a run. I ended up dropping into wave 3 on a reaper gold match at firebase white, with no mods equipped. This was not a farming run by any means, the Batarian always ended up running off, the other male quarian never threw a grenade and the justicar had what look like a claymore. It was the most fun I had in weeks and a very exciting match, we even pulled off an extraction.

I usually get the worst pugs at late sessions eu time, yesterday was no different. there was an obvious anchor in the lobby i was hosting, a phoenix vanguard with valiant and hurricane, but the others wouldn't kick. He ended a 10 wave silver game with ~10k points. All 3 died on me so I had to kill 3 VIPs by myself, I ran out of time 1 goddamn second before I got the final retreating marauder killed, having used all consumables.. sigh.

I really like PUG(no sarcasm).You never know,what kind of people will be your teammates.I have found some great players and friend in public games.

Twice already I've had to yell at someone for not delivering the pizza strapped to his back, he picked it up and promptly forgot about it preferring to kill enemies and waste time despite me being on the mic yelling at him to quit dicking around and get the damn objective in the circle before we failed due to timing out.

Yeah, I'm not saying I'm a great player, but I do expect that in PUGs (since I play PUGs 100% of the time). My only qualm is when I join a random gold, bring out some good gear, and the leader rage quits when they die in RD 1.

Not going to lie, I love PUG because it's chaotic. When I play with too competent teams it gets boring quickly. Yes, pugs are frustrating sometimes but I'd rather be frustrated than bored with the game.

I've also been in a bunch of PUGs lately where my teammates seem to have *no* idea how to do the delivery missions. I'm wondering if it's a lot of people coming back to ME3 because of the EC.

It's like how the OP describes. They just sit on the far side of the map and don't even seem to be aware that it's an objective wave.

I pug it all the time in bronze and silver, leaving gold to play with my bros only (tried a few pug gold and they were bloody awful experiences).

For the most part, most players are reasonably good for bronze and silver matches but occasionally, you get saddled with morons, like I did a few days ago when the three level 20s in the game with me on Bronze all died on wave 4. Wave 4 of Bronze! I tried to finish the wave but went down due to the infamous 'invisible grenade' (no grenade sound, no grenade visual warning) that sometime happens. I considered gelling and then thought - man, I am going to have to carry the rest of the game if these clowns are this bad and that isn't going to be fun, so I allowed myself to bleed out and wipe the game.
