Same problem. Can't access GaW. As of the app wasn't horrible before!

It has always been slower connecting than ME3 and Infiltrator.


Update: I can't seem to access the mail box either!

I haven't been able to connect for a few days now. The codec still works, which is great for the ME-themed RPG that I'm running, but I've been using the Galaxy at War part to keep my rating up. I had tabled my ME-game playing waiting for the ending DLC.

I'll be bummed if they've decided to discontinue this. I'm not a huge multiplayer fan and this was a great alternative to that. I know the party line is that it isn't necessary to have a high GaW rating to get a good single-player ending, but last I checked, it wasn't possible to raise EMS above 5K without it.

Identical problem; using Wi-Fi, can connect to every online function of the app except Galaxy at War, which gives the error message: "Mass Effect 3 Datapad requires an Internet connection. Please ensure you are connected to the Internet and try again." Behavior has been persistent for approximately 36 hours.

This is getting ridiculous and I can't believe they can't fix this. I mean the app has has this issue sporadically for weeks now and yet nothing's been done. Could they have pulled the plug on it? Surely they'd announce it if that were the case?

add me to this list now too - a few days ago it was slow as hell to load and work with and now I get the "need internet connection" error - and the connection is fine! PLEASE fix this bioware!! Or at least let us know you've seen this thread and are working on it!

same problem too. asks for internet connection but ipad IS connected and everything else is working fine

I too have the same issue does the same on the iPhone and iPad on 3G and wifi. Please fix BW/EA Doing an full playthru after installing EC and want to make sure my EMS is maxed out

Having same issue on my iPod Touch 4th Gen... Connecting to internet fine, can log into Origin on the app, cannot get mail or galaxy at war.

I wonder, since you can reach the best ending with just 3100 EMS now, (if you download EC) that they've cut support for Datapad?

Cutting it would be unfair to those who don't want or for some reason can't download the EC. Their Sheps will be doomed to die no matter what...

Is this app buggy in general for everyone else? Even before these past couple days the GaW screen was always unstable for me.

Same problem here. Can't access galaxy at war. I know they lowered the required EMS, but still, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to worry about a freaking APP (or multiplayer. Humbug!) to get the most out of our game??

Um, we don't have to. As you said they lowered the EMS threshhold.  Just makes it easier now.

Ah, lame! I just downloaded it for the first time. Too bad I didn't get to use it when the thing was working properly. I can get the news feed, media, and codex. The galaxy war map and the mail fail to connect, though. :/

Yes, connecting to GaW has been buggy sense they did the update.  That's been my experience, at least.

Wouldn't put it past EA to pull the plug with out notice.

The mail is also not connecting along with the GaW, the alliance news works fine so I know the app has internet connection.

Same problem...would be nice if someone official came by with a response...this has been a nice way to extend ME for me (although I wish they would add it to XBox Live for the console and phone).

Same issue with GaW for about 36 hrs now; the codex and Alliance news working fine.

Any BW comment, even an acknowledgement would be appreciated.
